Day 10 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Shea did some of her schoolwork this morning.     Her calltime to be on set today for the commercial shoot was 11 am.    She had a wonderful time filming all the different scenes all day.    We just finished up at 7:30 pm tonight.    So, it was a long day....but, fun!   :)     Her calltime for tomorrow is 7:30 am.    So we will have to be up early.    She should be finished up by 5 pm.   We will then drive the car to Oakwood ~ where we will leave it.    Then grab a shuttle to the airport.    Our flight leaves LA at 10:30 pm....we arrive Atlanta at 6 am.     Chris will pick us up.....then stop by the house to unpack and repack....and then drive down to Tallahassee for Christopher's graduation Friday night at 7:30 pm!!     Proud of you Topher!    So that's a wrap!!    

Day 9 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Hello.....well we were up early this morning so Shea could practice her song ~ Roxy ~ from Chicago....for her voice coach appt. at 11 am.      Rene (voice coach) was wonderful.....and "who knew?" Shea has some pipes ~ she can really sing!   She said Shea has full range.     :)     We grabbed lunch.....then went to her wardrobe appt. for the commercial shoot at 2 pm.    They liked the few things of Shea's we brought in.   But, wanted something more....so they gave us $250 and told us to go shopping!      So off we went....Shea wanted to go to Urban Outfitters.....and she found a cute little outfit!     We made a quick stop by the apartment so Shea could get ready for her Disney callback for "Madison High."    Then we were off AGAIN.....got to her callback right on time!   They taped her doing her scenes and singing Roxy ~ for the producer and director to see.    She said she felt great about it!     They just called to tell Shea that her Call Time for the shoot tomorrow is 11 am ~ Alleluia!    Soooo thankful it's NOT really early!    Momma Bear is TIRED!   ha!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 8 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Hello.....Shea did her schoolwork all morning....and now is getting ready for her 4 pm audition.   This audition is for Austin and Ally.    She is going to go to her acting class with Patrick at 6 pm.    We will be going to "Stick and Stones" production company tomorrow morning for Shea's wardrobe appt. for the commercial shoot with Marlon on Wed. and Thursday.     Jamie just called and the producers are only able to see callbacks on Wednesday....and due to Shea being tied up all day with the shoot ~ she can not go on Wednesday.    Jamie has made an appt. though for Shea to meet with the 2 casting directors ~ Sally and Barbie ~ Tuesday night at 5:30 pm ~ to tape her reading for the producers.    Shea also has to sing a song....so Jamie is trying to set up an appt. with a voice coach right now ~ for Shea to meet with tomorrow before the 5:30 pm appt.   Hope you are having a terrific day!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 7 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Hello.....I went out yesterday afternoon to buy a "thank you" gift for Marlon and Christine for letting us stay in their apartment this week....then picked up a few groceries.   Shea and I had a relaxing day today ~ which was wonderful!   Shea did schoolwork....and I finished the book ~ "same kind of different as me."
What a book.....I HIGHLY recommend you getting this book...it's a true story too!   My mother (It's her Bday today!!) gave it to me to read!   Then Shea and I went and grabbed a quick bite for dinner.    Shea will be reading both scripts tonight.    She has the audition for Austin & Ally ~ new Disney show ~  tomorrow at 4:05 pm.   They want her to audition for the role of Ally.   We are still trying to work out a time for Shea to meet with the producers for the Disney show ~ Madison High.    They had an appt. for Wed. at 5:15 pm....but, Marlon thinks they will still be taping his project at that time Wed.   He said Shea is in every scene ~ so he can't let her go.    Jamie is calling casting at Disney tomorrow to try to figure something out!   That's all for now.....til tomorrow.....

Day 6 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Hello.....well, Shea and I got settled in the apartment Marlon is letting us stay in this week.    It's a lovely place...lots of room!     Shea finished up her schoolwork....then we went for an early dinner ~ since we had never had lunch.    We drove down Sunset Blvd.....found a cute Mexican restaurant....and parked the car.
Dinner was delicious....went back to the car....and NO keys....ugh!    Shea had driven.....and somehow lost them.....Good Times!   ha!    Praise the Lord for AAA!     Called them and they arrived about 30 minutes later.    Because it's a Saab ~ the key has a microchip ~ so the key cost $250!!    Plus it took them over an hour to make the key.....FINALLY we had the key and drove back to the apartment.    It gets better....the key won't work....and we can't get into the apt.    We tried for about 20 minutes....Shea knocked on the front door just in case someone was home....and Alleluia!    The kids (Matisse and Sasha) were home with a babysitter!    So they let us in!    They are adorable!  :)    Matisse (son) is 11 yrs. old....and Sasha (daughter) is 9 yrs. old.     We both slept well....I'm doing laundry....Shea is playing SuperMario.    We heard from Jamie last night.....Shea has another audition for another show "Ally and Austin" on Monday at 4:05 pm.    Her callback time with the Disney producers is Wednesday at 5:15 pm.    I am trying to find out from Marlon (producer on commercial) if that will be possible for Shea.   Since she will be shooting the new ad on both Wed. and Thursday.    Hopefully it will all work out!

Day 5 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Hello.....what a day for Shea yesterday!   :)    Ok.....the director and ex. producer from the commercial yesterday have asked Shea to stay on to do another ad they are filming next week.    The producer has offered his apartment that is ajoined to their house to stay in for free ~ which is so very generous!   They had planned on it being a 3 day shoot ~ Dec. 8th, 9th, and 10th.    I explained that I HAD to be home on the 10th for my son's graduation!    They worked on everything and have changed it to a two day shoot ~ because they really want to use Shea!    Pretty incredible!     As I told you Shea had an audition for the Disney pilot ~ Madison High last night at 5:45 pm.   We went.   She did her reading for the first casting director and she said it was terrific ~ she wanted her associate to see her....so Shea went to the next room.
Shea didn't even finish reading the first page of script and director stopped her and said it was excellent.   Then asked her to sing Happy Birthday.    Director said fantastic....and that they will be setting up a mtg. with Shea and the producers of the show next Wed. or Thursday.     Shea is beyond thrilled!    Sooooo, yes we were originally scheduled to fly home tonight.....but, as you can see God has a different plan....as I really do feel he is the one opening these doors....so we must follow.    So, my precious husband changed our flights and we will fly home next Thursday ~ Dec. 9th.     And yes, I am not too thrilled that I am flying home the day before the graduation ~ but, really didn't have a choice.    Shea and I will be moving out of our hotel later today....and into the apartment.     Shea has lots of schoolwork to do today as she was not able to do any yesterday.

Day 4 of our "Back to LA" Stay.....

Wake up call came at 5:50 am.....Mom crawled out of bed....Shea still snoozing....we both got ready and made it to the Crew Parking Lot in Pasadena by 7 am.    There we were met by everyone who would be working on the set today.    There was a caterer there.....with all different delicious items for breakfast...Shea and I both had an omelet.    Then at 7:30 am a van took us to the location for the shoot.    It was a private home ~   the people were paid generously for the use of their home for the day.   It's amazing to me how many people are needed for these projects....Shea first went to the room for wardrobe and make-up.    They started shooting around 9 am....and continued to almost 12 noon.    Shea thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!     The directed really enjoyed working with Shea....and believes she has another upcoming project she would like to use Shea on!  :)     Jamie just let us know that Shea has an audition today at 5:45 pm for the Disney Pilot ~ Madison High ~ Role: Peyton.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 3 of our "Back in LA" Stay.....

Hello.....we had breakfast here in the hotel....then got ready to go to Shea's callback.    Her appt. was at noon.    She practiced her lines and looked beautiful!    She said she had a great time....and feels good about it....she had em cracking up....I heard them!  :)     You just never know what they are looking for.  She walked out of that room with the biggest smile and just kept saying how much she loved doing this!   And that's all that matters!   :)
Then we stopped in Old Pasadena for lunch.    What a pretty and quaint area.    Shea then did her schoolwork in the room.    Just got a call from Kenia....and Shea is to be on set tomorrow morning at 7:30 am ~ W H A T??     Excuse me?!   ha!    Just kidding!    We will be there.....and Mom will be the one with the bags under her eyes!    I will let you know tomorrow how the commercial shoot goes tomorrow....til then.....and CUT!

Day 2 of our "Back to LA" stay!

Hello....well, good news....car started up beautifully this am!   PTL!    Shea did her schoolwork online.   I went to the bank and opened up Shea's accounts she needs.    Then Shea and I went and had "linner" at 3 pm ~ then went to see Burlesque.   We liked it!    Jamie called us to tell Shea that she has a "callback" for an audition she did 3 weeks ago.    It's for an MTV show ~ The Inbetweeners ~ Shea's role is Carly.   She is very excited!    Her appt. is at noon tomorrow.    Jamie is also still trying to set up a time for Shea to audition for a new Disney pilot ~ "Madison High."    The commercial shoots on Thursday.   Til tomorrow!

Liz and Shea are back in LA!

Hello....ok.....up early this morning (4:30 am) for our flight to LA.    Arrived safely at 9:30 am....then waited for shuttle to get us at 11 am.....he took us to Oakwood to pick up Shea's car.    But, unfortunately.....the car was dead.....a gentleman (Ron) who lives there....(our angel today!)....came to our rescue....and after many attempts....we got er going ~ Alleluia!     It was 1:30 pm by this point.....we had planned on going to the hotel first....(but, had change of plans!)....so we went to Jack in the Box for lunch at 2 pm (we were STARVING ~ as it was 5 pm our time!).....we kept the car going to recharge the battery....then from there went to Shea's wardrobe appt.    That was lots of fun meeting everyone working on the commercial ~ as well as the other actors that will be in it.    We have to go open up her Coogan Acct. tomorrow.   Her part of the commercial doesn't shoot til Thursday....so we have Tuesday and Wed. free.....Jamie is trying to set up an audition for Shea while we are in town....so we may have that?      I'll keep you posted.....til tomorrow!

Shea booked the commercial!

Hello.....well, exciting news tonight!!     Jamie called to say that Shea booked the commercial!   Yahoo!
Shea is thrilled and we are VERY proud of her!     It is a national dental commercial.    She has to be back in LA on Nov. 29th for wardrobe....then the shooting days are December 1-3.    Chris just booked our flights.    Another wonderful thing about this booking....is Shea will now be a SAG(Screen Actors Guild) member.   Which will open even more doors for her!   So we are very thankful for this opportunity.      And one other "praise report".....the doctor called from LA to say that the biopsy they took on my head....was benign!    Praise God!    So we do indeed have many, many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
More than anything though.....is the blessing of our precious family and friends!     Happy Thanksgiving!

Day 80.....

Hello and Happy Friday!   :)       Well, LOTS of good news today!!     First of all,    Shea and I flew out a day before we were originally scheduled to fly home.    We left LA last night on flight at 12:30 am....got into Atlanta this morning around 7:30 am.....I wanted to be able to go see Sarah at the hospital....Rachel was having surgery today.   Surprised her....so thankful I could be home for that!     Rach came thru the surgery with flying colors...Praise God!    She had her tonsils taken out.    So, home safely....Rach is doing great!   And for even MORE splendid news.....Jamie called us to tell us that the directors from the dental commercial (where Shea was a BB player) ~ phoned to say that Shea in on "Avail".....basically making sure that she is available for the wardrobe day and shooting days of the commercial.   Which is Nov. 30th and shooting days ~ Dec. 1-3.    So, Shea has not been booked yet for this commercial....but, it's looking good!    We will definitely keep you posted!     Since I'm home now....I won't be writing a daily blog......
but, I will let you know what we hear about the commercial.    So, I will say.....til I write again.....P.S. It feels soooo wonderful to be home!   :)

Day 79.....

Hello.....exciting news.....Shea got a callback for that commercial!   :)     She is very excited!!!     It's a national dental commercial.....and Shea is a daughter that plays basketball.    Her callback time is at 5:05 pm tonight!    So we will see.....Countdown til we are home.....TWO days ~ Alleluia!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 78.....

Hello.....well, Shea had a great time at her audition last night.    She wore her Basketball shorts and shoes!
She had to show the director some of her BB moves!   :)     When they walked out...the director told all the girls in the room....they better look out....because Shea showed the most BB skill of any girl he had seen all day!!     Shea was thrilled!    That audition is for a national commercial.   So....we will see....?    Oh...and one of the girls there also auditioning....was the girlfriend of Joe....on Disney's Jonas Bro. Show....not Stella....but, the girl that was his girlfriend on the show just for a short while.     Shea was sooo excited to see her!   ha!     Countdown til we are home....THREE days!    Yippee!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 77.....

Hello.....well, we went from nothing yesterday.....to TWO auditions today!  :)     Shea has already gone to her first one....it was this morning.....for a pilot....for an "Untitled Bert V. Royal" project.    The role Shea tried out for was for : Andrea Praeger.      Her second audition is for a commercial....and guess what she has to be good at and dressed as?.....yup....a Basketball player!    Cool huh?!     She's excited!     Audition is at 6:10 pm ~ but, we will leave early due to the traffic!     Ok.....I'll keep you posted!    Countdown til HOME.....F O U R days ~ Yahoo!      Til tomorow.....

Day 76.....

Hello.....I woke up with a "knot" the size of a lemon under my right shoulder blade....(good times!  ha!)...
soooo....took some Aleve....went and got a massage....and Shea put some medicine on the area for me!  So, I'm on the road to recovery!    :)     PTL!     Shea has her last acting class tonight ~ she will start back with Patrick when she comes back the end of January.   Countdown til home.....5 days!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 75.....

Wow.....75 days here is LA!    It's been nice....but, can you tell I'm REALLY READY to get home?!!  ha!
Well.....I AM!   :)     We went to the brunch here at the clubhouse this morning.   I am doing laundry....and getting things organized here in the apt.   Shea has gone with friends here to Hollywood Blvd. to do some last minute shopping.  Little Miss Gracie is about to get a "bubble bath!"    Not much to report....just the counting down of days til home.....6 days!  Yippee!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 74.....

Hello.....Shea did get some feedback from her last two auditions.....from the Rock Barnes film ~ where Shea's role was Wendy....the casting director said she really liked Shea....but, the film director chose someone else.    And from One Last Drop ~ Shea's role was Kim....again Twinkie told Liz (Jamie's assistant) that she really likes Shea and that Shea has terrific acting skills...she just wasn't right for the role of Kim.    So there you go.....I just ran some errands today.....countdown til we are home....7 days!!!   :)

Day 73.....

Hello....and Happy Weekend!   :)      Well, Shea went to the audition yesterday....and "yes" it was the same Twinkie we had "met" in the car!       Shea had fun at the audition and felt great about it.....as always you just never know what they are looking for???     I had this spot on the crown of my head that had been bothering me the last few days....I couldn't see it....but, Shea could...and said it looked yucky.    So, got in to see Shea's dermatologist here this afternoon.    He looked at it and said he didn't like the way it looked.
So, he cut it out....and sent it off as a biopsy.    He will phone me with the results.    I just very thankful I was able to get in to see him!    Countdown til we are home.....8 days....YES!     Til tomorrow.....

Day 72.....

Hello....on this 72nd day of writing to you.....I have some exciting news to share.....remember the other day when we were in the car....and that lady pulled up next to us and asked if Shea was an actress...blah, blah, blah...ha!     Well, Shea got notification of an audition today.    It's for another feature film ~ "Just One Drop".     When Shea went to print out the sides (her lines for her scenes) ~ she noticed the name of the casting director ~ Tracy "twinkie" Byrd.    You guessed it ~ the lady in the car ~ her name is Twinkie!!!
I'm thinking the chances are pretty HIGH that it will be the same Twinkie Shea auditions for today!   :)   Isn't that cool?!    Oh, Shea's daddy's name in the film ~ "CJ" ~ (as in Chris Jones!) ~ I'm NOT kidding!!
Shea's name in this role is Kim.    Her audition is this afternoon at 3 pm.    As always we will keep you posted!    Countdown til home.....9 days.....!   Yippee!   Til tomorrow.....

Day 71.....

Hello....exciting day today!     We were on the set at Studio 1 at the UCLA Sound Stage today for the Dreams Out There shoot!    We got there and they got Shea in wardrobe and then did makeup.....then they started the filming!     There were only 2 scenes.....Shea was in both of them as Kim Kandy.     We were able to see a rough cut of it before we left.   Turned out really cute!   She will be mailing us a copy of the tape.    Shea had a wonderful time and really enjoyed being on a working set!  :)      Countdown til we are home.....10 days.....yahoo!!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 70.....

Hello.....we got a call last night about an audition today.    It was for a lead role in Rock Barnes ~ The Emperor in You.   A feature film.   Shea auditioned this morning for the role of Wendy ~ Rock Barnes 16 yr. old tennis phenom daughter.   She had fun at the audition and felt great about how it went.   There were a lot of people there auditioning for different roles in the movie.    One person was the girl that starred in John Ritter's last sitcom ~ 8 Simple Rules ~ she was his redheaded daughter ~ Amy Morrison (real name).  What a sweet girl....we talked for awhile.....she is just so down to earth and nice!  :)    Oh, have to tell you a "Funny!".......we were driving to the audition......and this lady in the car next to us....motioned to us to roll down our window....we did....and she asked if Shea was an actress??    I said yes....and she got all excited and said she was going to an auditioning right now.....loved her look....it just so "happened" I had TWO headshots with us....(seriously, I usually only have 1 for each audition! And something told me to take two.)....so, thru the car window I handed her one of Shea's headshots.....ha!!    Don't 'ya love it ~ only in Hollywood!!!   Have NO idea what it was she was casting for??      Shea is meeting with the director on Skype tonight ~ to go over her role as Kim Kandy ~ in "Dreams Out There".     They shoot that tomorrow.    Shea has to be on the set for "make-up" tomorrow morning.  :)      She's excited!     Til tomorrow.....

Day 69.....

Hello.....kind of a slow day today.....I did my ever famous laundry!  ha!    Shea did her school work.  I did go and get my parking spot today ~ the spot we will leave the car while we are home for a few months!  They also gave me a few numbers of shuttles too ~ that will be able to drive us to the airport!  :)    Shea received the script today ~ for "Dreams Out There" playing Kim Kandy.    She has her acting class tonight with Patrick.    No word from Jamie.    Ok....and cut!   Til tomorow.....

Day 68.....

Hello.....Shea and I had a nice dinner last night....then went to see "Due Date!"   It really is funny!!   :)
You know the kid that plays Axel on the show ~ "The Middle".....we saw him at the theatre.   He's little!  ha!    We went to the Sunday Brunch here at Oakwood this morning.    I talked to Rosie about leaving our car here ~ while we are home.    And she is going to look after it for us.    Which is sooo nice!!     We will pay for a parking spot ($65 a month) ~ and Rosie will just ck on it from time to time for us!     Shea is really excited about playing Kim Kandy in "Dreams Out There." ~ which they will shoot this coming Wednesday ~ Nov. 10th!     And countdown til we fly home.....12 days....yahoo!      Til tomorrow!

Day 67.....

Exciting news today!!!    Shea got the role of Kim Kandy in the student film ~ Dreams Out There.    They start shooting on Wed. ~ the 10th at the UCLA sound stage.    Shea is really excited!    It's a student film ~ so there is no pay involved.   But, it will go on her resume and it's great experience for her!    We are going to go have a nice dinner and go to a movie tonight to celebrate!   :)    Til tomorrow.....

Day 66.....

Hello and Happy Friday!   :)       Nothing to report today.....Shea put in a full day of school online.    I got to do laundry and go grocery shopping!    Good times!!   ha!    My highlight was talking with and laughing NON-STOP with my dear friend Sarah today!!   Countdown til we fly home.....14 days....tick tock!   Oh, Shea has an audition tomorrow afternoon for a role ~ as Mia Adams in a film ~ "Ready to Go."  Til tomorrow.....

Day 65.....

Hello....Shea once again felt really good about her audition today....this was for the role of Carly on the "Inbetweeners."   So....as I always say....we will see?   :)      I ordered Christopher's graduation announcements today.    I feel badly as I should have done that about a month ago!!     (Sorry Toph!)  But, they will arrive at home in about 10 days....and then I will get them in the mail!   Sooo proud of you Christopher!!    Two weeks from tomorrow ~ and we are flying home on the redeye!!    Yahoo!!   :)

Day 64.....

Hola!    Shea felt really good about last night's audition....she was cute!     She came out of it ~ and said "Mom, I nailed it!"   :)     She said if I don't get that....it's because they wanted a different look for Lulu!   I loved the confidence!     Shea has a hair appt. this afternoon.....she just found out that she has another audition(for the role of Carly) for another pilot tomorrow morning at 11 am ~ it's for MTV ~ Show title is "The Inbetweeners."     Ok....that's all for now....til tomorrow.....

Day 63.....

Howdy.....Shea had another audition today....we just got home from it.   It was for a "voice-over" role for Nickelodeon's show ~ the "Winx Club."    Shea read for the lead role of Stella.   She went into a soundbooth and read the script.   She had so much fun!    The gal taping her told her she has a perfect voice for this work!    Now Shea is going to do her schoolwork.    Then she has her other audition at 5:30 tonight for the role of "Lulu" in "What Would Jane Do?" ~ another ABC pilot.     Til tomorrow.....

Day 62.....

Hello bloggers....We got Shea taped today reading her script for Raven.   They sent it to Jamie at MC Talent (Shea's manager).    Jamie got it....thinks it's great and is sending it on to casting at ABC for the untitled Brenda Hampton pilot.   I don't get to see Shea when she goes into auditions.   But, since I was the one reading the script with her today ~ I was able to watch her.   She always blows me away!   :)   She has her acting class tonight with Patrick.    Then it's on to practice for the role of Lulu for tomorrow's audition at 5:30 pm.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 61.....

Hello.....we found out last night that Shea's audition had to be taped for the role of Raven on this new pilot by Brenda Hampton.     So Shea met with Patrick today for an hour of coaching.....then we have an appt. at the taping studio tomorrow at 12noon to have her taped doing her script reading.    She also has to do like a 30 second  dance to Katy Perry's "California Girls."    They asked to see her dancing skills also.  She's working on that tonight.   We will take the tape to Jamie after it is done.   Jamie said she has to get the audition tape to the casting directors Tuesday morning.     Shea also has another audition on Tuesday at 5:30 pm for the role of Lulu ~ in another new pilot ~ "What Would Jane Do?"    So we are busy....which is great!     Ok....til tomorrow......

Day 60....

Hello.....Shea had fun last night hanging with Mikey....he plays the guy who creeps on Victoria ~ on the show Victorious on Nickelodeon.    She also hung out with the kid who does the voice of Phinneas on Phinneas and Ferb on Disney.     They both live here at Oakwood.     Shea's big news is....she got the script of Raven last night for the new Brenda Hampton pilot.    Raven is one of the lead girls on this new show.  Shea will be reading her script and learning her lines....and then auditioning soon!    We don't have a date yet for the audition.    Along with reading the scenes ~ they want her to show off her dancing skills too.  So that's all for now.....til tomorrow.....

Day 59.....

Hello....and Happy Friday!     Nothing to report today.....except I did see and talk to a Disney star today in Ralph's (grocery store).....we were both looking at flowers....and I recognized him from "Sonny with a Chance"....(I can't member his name though!).....told him we watch that show all the time.....he was very nice...and told me he will soon be on a new show "Skating with the Stars"...and asked that we vote for him!  :)     Shea and I going to go see a movie tonight!    Have a good one!    Til tomorrow.....

Howdy!    Go Noles!    No word on the callback yet.....Jamie did tell us that the producers had a meeting last night ~ for the Brenda Hampton pilot....and that Shea would be auditioning for one of those roles soon.

Hello....ok....short blog today.....we just got back from the callback for the commercial for Fantastic Sam's. Shea had a lot of fun....and feels really good about it.....so we will see??     She said for the audition there was one person in the room....today for the callback there were 12 people all looking at her!   :)     Have a great evening!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....Chris and I went to Santa Monica Beach and Pier today....it was nice....beautiful day out today!!
Finally!   NO rain!    :)      Shea did her school online....and went to the gym.    We did find out today that Shea does NOT have to have anything done to her hair for the commercial....so she is going to the "callback" tomorrow for the Fantastic Sam's ad.....that's in Newport Beach at 3 pm tomorrow afternoon.
On a sad note.....Chris has to drive down to San Diego tonight for his business work there early tomorrow morning and Thursday.   He will fly home from SD on Thursday.    So, after dinner tonight....it's "bye" til Nov. 20th!   :(     Til tomorrow.....

Day 55.....

Hello....Chris had to meet with customers for a meeting this morning...so left here around 9 am....he then was playing golf with them this afternoon.....Shea did get a "callback" today for a commercial for Fantastic Sam's....if she has to get her hair cut for the commercial though....we are going to decline the callback.   Jamie is checking into it.....Shea has her acting class tonight.    Til tomorrow.......

Day 54.....

Hello....we went to the brunch here at Oakwood this am.    Chris met Rosie (Oakwood's Hollywood Event Planner).     Then we went to Griffith Park and went horseback riding for three hours....we rode to the top of the hill....and we were able to overlook all of the LA area....pretty amazing!    We had a great time!  Then afterwards we stopped at Paty's in Toluca Lake for a late lunch.    And "guess" who stopped in ~ while she was out jogging ~ for a "to go" order??    Ashley Tisdale!   Shea was thrilled!   She got her picture!    Ashley was in all the High School Musical movies....is on Disney's The Suite Life....and is now on the new show "HellCats" as a brunette.     Ok.....enjoying having Chris here with us.....til tomorrow....

Day 53.....

Hello all....I have Chris here.....yahoo....alleluia!!     Sooooo happy!     Picked him up at the airport and we went to Henry's Hat....where we watched San Francisco beat the Phillies.....and Missouri beat Oklahoma!
Shea had fun at her two auditions today.........we will keep you posted on those......til tomorrow....and cut!!

Day 52.....

Hello all.....I have lots to report today....first of all....I just received the "laundromat commercial" that will be shown on the Style network on tv this fall.....here is the link:   http://tinyurl.com/2djmmbx   The user name: view  password: viewer.    I just watched it....it's pretty funny!    Shea is seen very prominently...I am walking by in the background....just the back of my head...ha!     Shea and I both had long talks with Jamie yesterday.    She is getting good feedback on Shea from her auditions.   As Jamie would love to have us just stay on here....(she wanted us to go home for Thanksgiving....then fly back here for a few weeks and then fly home for Christmas....then back here after the holidays.)   Plus, I told her that we had to be in Tally on Dec. 10th for Topher's graduation!  :)   So that is even an extra trip we would have to make!    So, after talking it out with Jamie......this is the "tentative" plan.....we will go home on Nov. 19th.....and stay home...
for Dec. and Jan.....Shea will continue to do school online.....then Jamie wants Shea back out here the end of Jan....for the pilot season.   I said "tentative" because if she were to book something from now til we leave in mid November....then we would have to come back.   Shea is auditioning next week for another new pilot written by Brenda Hampton.   She is the lady that wrote "7th Heaven" and also "Secrets of the American Teenager."    Shea does have two auditions tomorrow.   At 1 pm it's for the role of Jenna in "BulletProof." ~ a film.    And then at 2:30 ~ an audition for a commercial.     And then the BIGGEST and BESTEST news of all!!!     Chris' flight arrives T O M O R R O W at 4:45 pm ~ Yahoo!   Can't wait!    Ok.....know that was a lot today......til tomorrow....and Cut!

Day 51.....

Hello....Jamie sent Shea another pilot show script today.    Shea has printed it out and is reading it now.    There are four lead roles....Shea will be auditioning for one of those roles.   No audition date yet.    Not much else to report ~ EXCEPT.....it's only T W O days now til Chris arrives!    :)    Can NOT wait!  Ok...

Day 50.....

Hello....Jamie called us last night and told us Shea had an audition for today!     We printed out the script and practiced it last night.    It's for a new ABC pilot called Nine Lives ~ Shea met with Patrick (acting teacher) for coaching this morning....before the audition.     Shea auditioned today for the lead role of Chloe King.    She really likes this character a lot!    Like always though....it's wait and see what they are looking for??    It is still raining here.....and it's so funny to watch the news....as the rain is so unusual here...it's makes BIG news!  ha!     Jamie told us today that they are pitching her for lots of projects that are right for her!     Oh....and the countdown til Chris arrives....THREE days....yessirree!!  

Day 49.....

Hello.....the audition went well yesterday for Shea....and she was able to make it to her acting class last night too!     Had a few "celebrity sitings" today.....when I went to pick up our dry-cleaning....I look across the street and see Keifer Sutherland having coffee with a few friends....then I went into Jamba Juice to grab a smoothie....and the Disney star (can't remember his name?) from Sonny with A Chance....came in and got a smoothie....so that was pretty cool....Shea and I watch that show all the time!     After that I went grocery shopping.    Shea did her school work....and then went to gym for a workout.     It's raining here again today.    Countdown til Chris arrives....F O U R days!   Yahoo!   Cut!

Day 48.....

Hello....and Happy Monday!    Shea worked with Johnny V. yesterday afternoon for four hours on her script!     Thought that was very nice of him!    Shea met up with Patrick today to work on her script also ~ and get some coaching from him.     Shea just finished up her school work....and now is getting ready for her audition today.    The audition is at 5 pm.....this is the audition at Disney...for the show "Zeke and Luther."    Shea is auditioning for the role of Sarah....the love interest of Luther.    Shea doesn't want to miss her acting class at 6 pm....so if, the audition in on time....we will try to make it to that also.    I got a wonderful surprise call today from my dear friend ~ Sarah!!    :)     Made my day!    And the countdown til Chris is here.....F I V E days....yippee!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 47.....

Hello...the audition yesterday went well....it was "short and sweet".....I went up to the brunch this am at the club house....Shea went to the acting class at noon.    She told the teacher of the class(his name is Johnny V.) that she had an audition tomorrow.....he asked for what?    She told him....and don't you know his "best friend" is the executive producer(Dan Schneider) of Zeke and Luther at Disney??     So, he told Shea to come and get the script and he will work with her....pretty cool, huh?!!       I've been cleaning up the apt....it's soooo huge....(Hee!  hee!)    It takes me all of 20 minutes ~ tops!!   :)       Shea is meeting with Patrick tomorrow at noon ~ so he can coach her and get her ready for the audition at 5 pm at Disney studios ~ for the part of Sarah ~ on Zeke and Luther.      We will keep you in the loop........

Day 46.....

Hello.....feeling a little bit better today!   PTL!    Shea got up early today for the test she had to take....she didn't get back til almost noon.    She said the Math section was easy....but, the English part was tough.   So we will see?    She has an audition at 4:05 pm for a part in a movie.     Rosie has another guest speaker tomorrow at the club house after the brunch.    He is an actor and will be teaching a class for the kids.   Shea has another audition on Monday ~ for a Disney show ~ Zeke and Luther.    She would be a guest on several episodes...playing "Sarah."    We will keep you posted......

Day 45.....

Hello....and Happy Friday!      Well, unfortunately I am not feeling well....ugh....fever, achy, and upset stomach....it started yesterday....sure hoping and praying it is a short-lived thing!    Shea downloaded the script for her audition tomorrow.    She is reading it now.    She has her test tomorrow morning at 8 am ~ this is the California test so that Shea will be able to work as an 18 year old on sets.     There are two different tests here ~ one is the one Shea is taking ~ so she can work as an 18 yr. old.    The second test is to get credit and have her GED.     We are not doing that one.    Then her audition is tomorrow afternoon at 4 pm.    Its for a role in a film.    Ok.....that's all for now.....

Day 44.....

Howdy!    I'm waiting for them to call me to go pick up Gracie at the groomer's!   She had her "beauty parlor" appt. today!  :)     I've just been doing boring stuff....laundry....grocery shopping....taking in dry cleaning.    Jamie did call today.    She said she is working on some theatrical things for Shea....Have no idea what??    ha!    Shea just finished up her school classes for the day.   Oh exciting!!    Chris is coming for a visit on the 23rd ~ Yahoo ~ so, only 9 days to go.....tick, tock!   :)      Can't wait!     Oh, one other "tidbit!"   You know that actor Gerald McRainey (sp?) ~ he's married to Delta Burke (actress)....he's living here at Oakwood....he is on that new show "Undercovers"....and works right across the street at Warner Brothers....so he is living here during the week and goes home on the weekend.    I passed him going to the pool the other day.    Ok.....til tomorrow.....

Hello my fellow bloggers.....just got back from the salon ~ with my "new do!".....Marcie did a great job on the color and cut.    Hilary Duff's mom goes to that salon....and Marcie said I sounded just like her (Susan Duff!)  ha!     Shea is getting ready for her audition this afternoon ~ for a commercial ~ it's in Newport Beach.....we did hear back from that guy (Kevin Allyn) I met at the deli last Saturday....and he wants to meet with Shea and I......so we are trying to coordinate a good time for that!   :)      Shea has another audition this Saturday afternoon for a role in a movie.....that's all for now......Cut!

Day 42.....

Hello.....Rosie (the lady that plans activities for the children here at Oakwood)....is having pizza tonight for all the actors and their families....and then there is an acting class at 7 pm.     I have a hair appt. tomorrow morning in Toluca Lake for a color and cut.    Shea has another audition tomorrow afternoon.    Til tomorrow......

Day 41.....

Hello....well, not much to report today at all..... Our phones weren't working today ~ til Chris called AT&T and got them back to working.....around 2 pm....and the computers are not working in the apartments...only in the laundry room (I'm there now writing this!) and the Club House.    Shea has her acting class tonight.  No word from Jamie today.....so V E R Y slow!      Til tomorrow.....

Day 40.....

Hello.....Shea went to the beach today with Sterling Knight's (Disney's show ~ Sonny with a Chance ~ he is Chad Dillon Cooper on show) brother Spencer.   They went to Santa Barbara beach.....they went to the pier....rode the roller coaster....tried to surf (Spencer is a surfer)....and Shea has a long board now too....so he helped her learn more for riding that today too!   :)      Spencer is only 15 ~ so it's nothing romantic ~ just friends!  :)     He seems like a sweet kid!     My excitement for the day was grocery shopping ~ Oh the fun!  ha!     NOW, Shea is going to the movies with a group of kids to see "Social Network."    Mom home alone AGAIN....  :(     Hope you all had a terrific Sunday and weekend....til tomorrow......

Day 39.....

Hello all.....nice and relaxing day today!  :)    I went into our little downtown area of Taluca Lake...and found a nail shop and got my very sad looking nails done!     Then found a cute hair salon and have a hair appt. for a color and cut this Wed. morning.    Also found a cute little pet shop that does grooming and made an appt. for Gracie for this coming Thursday.    I went into a little deli place to grab some lunch.   Had soup and BLT sandwich (brought half home for Shea).   They had picnic table to sit at...and there was a space where three men were sitting.   I asked if I could join them.   And they said they had been waiting for me...ha!   They were very nice.    I of course, overheard their conversation.....and realized they worked in the "biz."   When I got up to leave I told them about Shea.    One of the men asked me to give him all of the info on Shea ~ management, agents, etc.   I did.   Come to find out from the other two men with him ~ he is some head honcho at Warner Brothers.    Amazing, huh?!!     He gave me his name, phone number and email address.    I have emailed him and he has asked that I send him some photos of Shea.     We heard from Jamie today ~ she said she would be talking to casting at Disney on Monday about Shea's audition yesterday ~ and would also probably have an answer about the commercial too that Shea had the callback on.   So we will keep you posted!     Happy Weekend!

Day 38.....

Hello.....Shea had fun at the callback today.    It was the same director that was at the audition.    And it was once again lots of improv.     Then she had an audition for a guest role on the new Disney show ~ "Shake it Up!"    So we went right from the callback to the audition.    Shea said she felt good about the audition.    So once again....we will wait and see.....Happy Friday to everyone!    

Day 37.....

Hello....exciting news!!     Shea received a "callback" today.    From the commercial she auditioned for on Tuesday.    It's for Spin Master.    Shea is thrilled!     She goes for the callback tomorrow ~ Friday at 3:45 pm.     Jamie said that there will be lots of people in the room for the callback to see Shea.   And that the director will ask Shea to do a scene 2 or 3 different ways....to see how she takes direction.     So we will keep you posted.....

Day 36....

Hello....ok....two more auditions today......Shea had fun at both of them!    They didn't tell anyone about callbacks....so we aren't sure?     The first audition is a car commercial ~ Acura.....the second one is a commercial about a new video game.     We just stopped and had Mexican for dinner.    Now it's our FAV Wed. night shows ~ The Middle and Modern Family!     That's all for now.......

Day 35.....

Hello...and Happy Tuesday!     Shea's audition today went well.    It's for a company called Spin Master out of Canada.   Shea said the director just randomly asked her to do various things as he filmed her.   Just various things ~ improv.....the callbacks are this Friday.    Shea has TWO auditions tomorrow.....one is for a commercial for Acura ~ Shea is playing the daughter of a wealthy jewelry store owner.    Then the second audition is for a commercial for a video game.    So yes, we are busy!!  :)     Shea really had fun today!   As always....we will keep you posted....til tomorrow!   Cut!

Day 34.....

Hello....Shea had an appt. with a dermatologist today.   We saw him ~ he was very nice.    We went to CVS afterwards to pick up her new prescriptions.   She just finished up all her schoolwork online.   She has her acting class tonight.    We just found out that she has another audition tomorrow for a commercial.

A commercial for Spin Master.    We will keep you posted....til tomorrow!

Day 33.....

Hello.....well it was a wonderful weekend!    But, as they say...."All good things must come to an end!"  :(
We had an absolute blast with the Miles today!  Seriously, my cheeks hurt from laughing so much!!  Love those people!!   Sure did hate to see them go....sniff!  sniff!     And NOW we have to take Chris to the airport....more tears!  :(      I don't like good-byes......sniff!  sniff!   Guess we will start a new countdown for his next trip here!    Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!     We didn't get any call back today.  

Day 32.....

Hello.....Shea practiced her lines most of the day.....it actually rained here today.....which is very unusual!    But, it was a short rainfall!    Then Chris and I sat by the pool.....we took Shea to her audition.     She felt really good about it.    But, you just never know what they are looking for.    So, we will see....the callbacks are tomorrow....then we drove down to Rodeo Drive.....walked around.....it was nice!    We are cooking a steak on the grill for dinner tonight.     Soooo excited ~ our dear friends the Miles ~ are in town for a few days....and we get to see them tomorrow!   Can't wait!   :)     We are meeting them at the Grove...
having Brunch....then the girls (Shea, Kayla and Rachel) are going shopping on Melrose.....and adults are hanging out at the Grove.....Hope you have a wonderful Sat. evening!  

Day 31.....

Hello....and Happy Friday....!      Shea did her school work....Chris was on conference calls....I did laundry and went grocery shopping....and I'm writing this in our air-conditioned apartment!!     Life is GRAND! :)
Shea just found out she is up for an audition for lead role in a film ~ "Firelight".      Her audition is tomorrow at 3:50 pm.    And the callbacks are on Sunday.    The director will be at the audition tomorrow.

Day 29.....

Hello.....we had a great time at the taping of the show ~ I'm in the Band ~ last night.....we were there from 4 pm til 9 pm!    They fed us and did a great job of entertaining us between takes of the different scenes.   This is a new show on Disney ~ on Disney XD ~ really funny!    
I'm packing up the apartment today.....called and cancelled our cable starting tomorrow.     We get to move in tomorrow ~ Yippee!!        And Chris arrives tomorrow night ~ Can't wait!    Tomorrow can't come soon enough!  :)
And it gets better and better too.....cause we get to see our dear friends the Miles on Sunday!

Hello.....ok....been walking around a Target to try to "stay cool" here in this heat wave!!    It is soooo hot!
BUT, only a few more days....and we move into new place ~ with AC!!    Alleluia!      And Chris is here in TWO days ~ yahoo!     Shea had fun yesterday doing her audition.     She said the guy called her back and was in a hurry.....taped her doing her lines twice....and that was that.    She said she did ok....probably could have done better!   It's ok though...that was her first one!    We have free tickets for the Disney show ~ "I'm With the Band!" today....so, leaving soon to go to that!    Bye for now.....

Day 27.....

Hello and Happy Monday!!     Well, we are having a "heat wave here!"    Seriously, it was 112 degrees on Saturday....and has been getting progressively warmer!   :(     And we have NO AC!!     BUT, we do have EXCITING news!!!!!      Jamie just called and Shea has an audition this afternoon for a Sprint commercial!
Shea is getting ready now!    I will of course let you all know how it goes....

Day 26.....

Hello.....they invited us to come to the new apt. complex today.     They were having a special presentation today at Oakwood with all kinds of reptiles.  They do special things there ~ for all the children!   It was pretty cool actually!    Then we just spent the afternoon sitting by the pool....very nice!    Shea and I grabbed some dinner afterwards.   I just came up after sitting in the car for 45 minutes WAITING for a parking spot!!    Ugh!     But, hey it IS on the TUESDAY side of the street ~ so, I DON'T have to move it tomorrow ~ for street cleaning!!   :)    Ok ~ Countdown til Chris arrives.....3 days....yahoo!     And we are in the NEW place this weekend!!    Til tomorrow......

Day 25.....

Howdy.....today is a day that Shea will not soon forget.....for those of you that don't know this ~ Shea absolutely LOVES Miley Cyrus.     We went over to Taluca Lake today to go see the new place we are moving into next week ~ and find out what time we can move in!      And S I N C E Miley lives in Taluca Lake.....Shea wanted to "stop by" and see if she could get a peek of Miley!      Well, we saw Billy Ray Cyrus twice.....he spoke to us.     Then we saw Miley and her boyfriend Liam leaving their house and going back.     Shea wrote Miley a letter....and when she came back home ~ Shea asked her to take her letter off the gate.    She gave Shea a "thumbs up!"    Then Liam got the letter and handed it to Miley!   Shea was thrilled!   We found out that Miley is moving into her own house just around the corner from where she lives with her parents now.    We drove over and WHO pulls up??   Yep, Miley in her car and Liam in his car behind her.     The cars were filled ~ she is moving into her new place.    She stopped and spoke to us.    Shea got pix....she has already put them on facebook!   ha!    So, that's our exciting news today!   :)

Day 24.....

Hello.....and Happy Weekend!     :)          Ok....well, not much to report.....we really enjoyed going to the Jay Leno show yesterday!      They have a little carnival going on nearby....and Shea wants to go....so think that's what we are doing tonight!      I know it's Homecoming back home.....Go Chiefs!  

Day 23.....

Hello....Well, for those of you that watched "The Middle" last night.....Sue's teacher in the show is Patrick ~ who is Shea's acting teacher....he is a working actor as well as teaches.....Shea is now signed up to take the California High School Test on October 16th.     We have tickets for the Jay Leno show today.    We have to be there by 2:30 pm.     I'm not sure if it is tonight's show or if they tape it and it's tomorrow's show.
Guess I will let you know that tomorrow.....

P.S.    ONE week from today.....and we are OUT of HERE and moving into new place ~ Yahoo!!!     :)
And Chris comes in next Thursday!!!    Yippee!

Day 22.....

Hello....Ok, we didn't get into the show yesterday....we were bummed....BUT, they gave us passes to call back and try again....so did that today....and we have DEFINITE seats for $#*! My Dad Says on Oct. 5th!
So that's cool!    :)
And Jamie (Shea's manager) called today!!   She said she didn't know why it was so s l o w???     She did say they had pitched Shea for two roles ~ but, were told that they were ONLY going with 18 year olds for the role ~ or those that had taken the California High School Proficiency Examination ~ this doesn't mean Shea won't continue her education ~ but, if she takes this test ~ they can treat her as an 18 yr old on the set.  Which makes it easier for them.    So, needless to say.....getting Shea signed up to take that test.   She will take that in October.
Jamie also wants to see about getting an agent for her to do "voiceover" work.....Shea can do lots of different voices and characters.     Jamie is setting up those appts. now.
I just finished up laundry....and WOW ~ I don't have to move my car today ~ Halleluiah!!   ha!

Day 21.....

Howdy.....well, all I have really been up to today....is being a "prisoner" in my car!!   Arrrr!   :(     It's Street Cleaning Day on the Tuesday side of the street!!    So, had to move the car before noon....and couldn't find a place to park on the other side of the street....so went to Target....came back afterwards....and again could NOT find a parking place....ugh! ~ So went to lunch....Shea was doing her school online....came back and AGAIN could not find a spot!!    But, just 10 min. ago I got ONE ~ Yahoo!    Only 9 days and we are OUT of HERE!   PTL!    Shea and I have tickets to be in the audience tonight for William Shatner's new show ~ "$#*! My Dad Says!"    Should be fun!!     I'll let you know tomorrow.........

Day 19.....

Hello bloggers!     We had a another free day today....so we took a drive to Venice Beach.   We parked the car and then walked the boardwalk to see the sites.    Shea of course, thought it was AWESOME ~ with ALL the people ~ the BB playing going on ~ the skateboard park ~ graffiti painters, ALL the shops and eateries, etc. etc.....and that was neat I guess.....but, I'm showing my age here.....cuz, it just seemed like a big slab of cement ~ with too many people....and dirty......guess when I think beach I think about the beautiful beaches of Crescent Beach....and St. Augustine Beach.....it's not crowded....it's clean....and it's a big white beach to stroll on!   :)     Ok....I'm really feeling homesick.....I miss Chris so much....and everyone back in the bubble!    Jamie said we would be really busy this week.....so we are going to have a quiet evening.....hit the hay....and be ready for tomorrow!    Bye for now.....

Day 17.....

Hello and Happy Weekend!    Well, we did get the free tickets to "Let's Make a Deal!"     Shea and I dressed up as chickens....pretty funny!     And they picked me to play a game....and I WON!!    I'm NOT kidding!     I made a complete fool of myself....shocking ~ I know!  ha!    Our show won't be aired until Jan. 20th....and I won't get my moola til after it is aired!     It was a lot of fun!     We did pick up her new headshots today......very pleased with those!     Ok.....well, I'm already counting down til we see Chris again and MOVE into our new place.....13 days....and counting!  :)

Day 16.....

Hello "fellow followers!"      Another quiet day.....Shea and I had lunch at  "Pinches Tacos".....then we  got the car washed.....Shea went online to check out free tv shows here in LA.      We have tickets for ~ "Let's Make a Deal" tomorrow....."$#*! My Dad Says "(with William Shatner) New Show...."I'm in the Band"....."Mike and Molly" (New Show) and "Melissa and Joey" (another new show).     Shea's manager ~ Jamie said it is slow this week ~ because of the Jewish holiday....but, they are talking to casting about Shea and she says we will be very busy next week!    We printed out all her new resumes today and will pick up the new headshots tomorrow afternoon.   Later.....

Hello.....nothing to really report today.....we tried to get into the Jimmy Kimmel show....and waited in line for over an hour....then we were told you had to be 18.....I really tried to talk them into letting Shea in ~ but, they said they couldn't.....so we were bummed!    The lady we are renting this apt. from asked if someone could come over tonight at 8 pm to see the apt.    Since we are moving out (Alleluia!!) on the 30th.    She is trying to find a new renter.    Shea's headshots will be ready to be picked up on Friday.

I had to go move the car(on Mondays they clean one side of the street ~ on Tuesdays they clean the other side) ~ and there was no spot on the other side of the street....so went and sat at a Starbucks....then went and got groceries.     And Halleluiah ~ got a parking spot ~ when I came back!!    :)     Unfortunately we didn't know it was two different days yesterday....and we got a $65 parking ticket for having the car on the WRONG side of the street on "street cleaning day"    Ugh!   :(      Oh, all you that have written back to these blogs....I did finally read all your notes yesterday ~ thanks sooo much!    Can I ask though that you write me on my aol acct please ~ LConJon@aol.com     Thanks!   :)    Oakie, doakie....til tomorrow!

Day 13.....

Hello to all our followers.....I apologize for getting this out so late.....you will probably read Day 13 on Day 14!     It's 9:30 pm here.    Just long, long day.....First of all....we did get to see many stars last night at the VMA's.    I will just name a few....Usher, Justin Timberlake,  Lady Gaga, FloRida, Johnny Knoxville, Justine Beiber, Drake, Selena Gomez...and lots others....it was fun!     Took Chris to the airport really early this morning.....sure hated to see him go!   We did get Shea's proofs of her pictures today ~ for her new headshots.    Here is the site if you would like to go see them.    sessions.argentum.com/index.html?kjbdm19sj.     Also, Shea's manager did decide on her agents.....Shea's theatrical agent for TV and Film is Greene and Assoc.   Her print and commercial agent is JLA Agency.    Shea is very excited!     She went to her first acting class tonight and loved it!     We will be signing papers with the agents tomorrow.   Then she will begin the auditioning.     She is ready.....we will keep you posted!  

Day 12.....

Hello all......ok we called and went to many apts. yesterday.....trying to find a new place!    It looks like we will be moving into Oakwood Apts. in the Taluca Lake area....Shea is thrilled because Miley Cyrus lives nearby!!   ha!     We went to her house yesterday.....of course, there is a huge locked gate keeping people out!     We waited for about an hour.....(I'm NOT kidding! ~ Chris was NOT happy!  ha!)....hoping Miley "might" drive out......never did.....the papparazzi were all there too waiting to get a "Miley shot!"   Anyway, I feel sooo much better knowing we are only here about 3 more weeks....and then will be in the new place.....it is much nicer!  PTL!      We are going to drive to the Grove here in LA today.....then the VMAs are here in LA tonight at the Nokia Theatre.    Shea wants us to go and try to find a spot nearby that we can see all the artists arrive for the red carpet before the ceremony.    It will be fun ~ "if" we can get a spot where we can really see them all!     Chris is even being a good sport and said he would go too!    :)   We meet with Jamie (manager) tomorrow to decide on which agent/agents we will be going with for Shea's "Dream Team!"     Shea has her acting class with Patrick at the Actor's Spot on Monday evening.    I am driving Chris to the airport very early Monday morning.....I will be sad.....ok....til tomorrow......

Day 11.....

Hello....ok, well Shea is now a "paid actress!"    :)      We went to the commercial shooting at the laundromat this morning....Shea got a close up and a mic and everything!    I am in the background in the commercial too.  ha!    It only took us an hour.....and they paid us each $50!      This commercial will be on television this fall on the Style Channel.....They are going to send us the link when it is edited and complete.     We will try to put that link on this blog.    So you can see it too!      We are going apt. shopping today.....we HOPE and PRAY to be out of this "fine place" (hee!  hee!) by Oct. 1st.....I will keep you posted on that....ok.....til tomorrow......"Cut!"

Day 10.....

Happy Friday!     Shea's meeting with Julie at AKA today went great....really like her!    Shea is going to do her online classes now.    I am leaving soon to head to LAX to pick up Chris!    Yahoo!   Soooo excited to see him!    Jamie (manager) and her assistant Liz are going to discuss all the feedback from all the agents we saw this week.....and then we will meet on Monday and decide who we will go with as far as Shea's agent.    I will keep 'ya posted on that....The producer for the commercial being shot at the laundromat tom am called and said wardrobe would be calling soon to tell both Shea and I what to wear for the shoot tom.

Day 9.....

Howdy all.....ok it was "Picture Day" today.....a great experience.   Juliet did Shea's makeup and hair ~ very natural....and then Theo took the shots.....we should get the pix for sure by Monday.    We and Jamie will pick our favorites and have headshots printed out!     Then Shea had another agent meeting at Universal Studios ~ with Defining Artists....Shea again was asked to do a reading....they said they would be in touch with Jamie....Shea just finished up her classes.....I was again at the laundromat....and walking Gracie!   Time to hit the shower.....then hit the hay!   Momma's tired!!   Oh, by the way ~ we FINALLY have a TV!   :)     And the plumber fixed our bathtub today too!    So we are LIVING LARGE!   ha!
Shea has another agent mtg. tomorrow morning at 11:30 with AKA Talent Agency.   Then....Chris arrives at 3:30 pm ~ Y A H O O !!!!!     He's flying into LAX ~ can't come soon enough!    I really miss him!

Day 8.....

Good evening.....Shea met with Matt Fletcher at Greene and Associates this morning.    He gave her a reading....and asked her to read her role and he read his....he came and told me she did great!   We then drove up to Santa Clarita to meet with her manager Jamie and her assistant Liz.    They sure are terrific!
I feel so blessed to be with them!    Jamie said that Matt had already phoned her to tell her that he really liked Shea!   The plan is to go to the next two agent meetings ~ one on Thursday and the other on Friday.
Then we will talk on Friday and decide which agent or agents Shea should go with!     Shea is also going to Theo and Juliet tomorrow morning for her photo shoot for her new headshots.     Then after we have all of those things taken care of.....Jamie said Shea would start going to auditions.      Shea came home this afternoon and got right to work on her online studies.    We go for the photos at 10 am....then she has another agent meeting at Universal City with Defining Artists at 4:30 tomorrow.     Ok....time to hit the hay!   Nite~nite!    

Day 7.....

Hello......well Shea did get right to work on her online classes this morning.....I was really proud of her.
While she was "doing school"    ~     I walked to the laundromat to do our laundry....living the dream!  ha!
A group came in and they were discussing their filming project.....checking angles with the camera...checking the lighting, etc.   I asked what they were filming....they are doing a commercial.    I told them about Shea.....and she is going to be in the commercial this Sat. ~ filming at 8 am.    Pretty cool, huh?!
We went to her first appt. today at 2 pm with Felix at JLA Talent.    They gave Shea a book of commercials to pick from....she chose one about "Claire's"....she memorized it....and did it for them....she did great!     Felix knows we will be seeing other agents this week....and at the end of the week we will decide on which agent is the right fit for Shea.....discussing this with Jamie, her manager.     Felix did say he was going to go ahead and see what projects he had coming up that would be right for Shea...and let Jamie know about those.....well, seems as we need to have some comedy added to each day....so today ~ I lost our apt. keys ~ seriously..........have NO IDEA where I left them.....so Shea went up to the apt. manager (Bill) and he let us in....he said he would have a new key made for us.....anyway......you'll have more to read tomorrow......over and out.....

Day 6.....

Hello everyone.....Shea and I went on the tour of celebrity homes yesterday afternoon.....pretty amazing places....Shea did see Katie Holmes when we went by Tom and Katie's house.    She was pysched!!
I forgot to tell you all that when we drove up to our new apt. on Saturday....they were filming right on our street.   Today we are driving all around and plugging in all the addresses of all the appts. Shea has this week ~ so, we will be sure we know how to get to them all.....Shea begins her online private school tomorrow.....and has her first appt. with Felix at the JLA Talent Agency tomorrow afternoon.   We'll let you know how that goes.....have a wonderful Labor Day!!    love to you all......

day 5.....

Hello.....Ok.....well.....we moved in.....let's just say it's a bit more "rustic" than we had planned on.....there's no AC.....and it's in dire need of some "fixing up!"      Shea and I are really trying to be "open minded!!"   ha!     We need to go to Target and the grocery store today.     We seriously hate driving anywhere ~ as it is a FIGHT (I'm NOT kidding!) for a parking space on the street out front.     But, we really have to go and get the necessities!    We couldn't get into the apt. til 6 pm last night.....so Shea and I took Gracie and we went on a 2 hr. bus tour of the city.....and YES, Shea wanted to sit on the top.....so, I had a "heat stroke" AND I'm sun burned too!    Having fun out here in Hollywood!!   ha!     That's all for now......

Day 4.....

Our Day 3 actually had a bit more to add on...we got into Hollywood yesterday around 4 pm.....and we could not find a hotel that would allow Gracie.........we FINALLY got the last room in a small hotel....
and we snuck Gracin in.....in a pillowcase.....had to go right past the front desk with the guy staring at us.
It was pretty funny!
Anyway, here we are Day 4......we are just going to drive around and see the city today....we can't get into our apt. til after 4 pm today.     So, hopefully I will be able to check in later and let you know how the move in went......stay tuned....

Day 3........

Hello all....ok....another terrific day of travel....PTL!      We are about an hour and a half from LA now.
Shea is driving....Gracie is sleeping....we plan to spend the night at a hotel tonight near our apartment.
Then we will move into our apt. tomorrow afternoon.      Guess we will walk around the "new hood" tonight and check things out.....stay tuned.....

Day 2.......

Howdy......we drove thru Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico today.    We are in Flagstaff, Arizona tonight.     We just went and got chinese for dinner....and ugh!     We both have stomach aches now!    Good times!   ha!     We are already on Pacific time.....only 6 hrs. to LA tomorrow.....Oh Boy!!   :)

Day 1.....

Hello.....we started out for LA today.....left PTC at 7 am.......we drove thru Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee....and drove thru Arkansas FOREVER....ha!     We are now driving thru Oklahoma.....Shea is driving.....we've been taking turns....we plan to stop for the night in Oklahoma City....which is about an hr and a half away.      So first day a success!    Yahoo!   :)     Sure appreciate all of your well wishes....and prayers......

It's Shea's Time!

Just a quick note to let you know that Shea has a manager out in LA who has asked (begged) that Shea please come out so that she can see all the casting directors in person....and be able to go to auditions in person ~ instead of sending them on tape over the internet.     We prayed about this and feel as God is leading us there....so we are following....stepping out in faith.....follow our journey.....
