Day 6 in LA.....July 2011

Hello.....well I truly felt like I was back at Oakwood today as I hit the laundromat here with our laundry!  :)    I went on a long walk.....Shea went to the gym to work out.    I went to get some groceries while Shea got ready for the audition.     It's so funny to see Shea after an audition....she's just sooo pumped!    She said she felt great about it!    Harrison picked Shea up to take her to their acting class tonight at 6pm.   Then they are going to grab a bite afterwards.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 5 in LA.....July 2011

What a day today!   As you know Prince William and Princess Katherine were in LA for three days.   I knew they were going down to Skid Row in downtown LA today ~ so, I drove down and around and around....til I found the police tape!  ha!    Parked the car....and made my way to the waiting crowd!   I was there about an hour before they arrived.  It really was exciting!   The car they were in slowed down and I was able to see William ~ he smiled and waved to all the crowd!   You sure see Diana ~ when you look at him!    I did get a picture of him ~ but, there is a shadow....so, it's tough to see him!   :(     I sure will never forget the day I got to see the future King of England!    After that I drove back down to Costa Mesa to pick Shea up after her weekend fun with Jessica Osbun.    Came back to the apartment and Shea got ready for me to tape her audition we need to send to Atlanta.   We just finished that up and it is already sent!  :)  This audition is for the role of Bobbi ~ in a film titled ~ "Will to Succeed."    Tomorrow Shea has the audition for the new Nickelodeon show ~ "Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures."  Think I'll go make myself a "spot of tea!"   Til tomorrow.....

Day 4 in LA....July 2011

Hello!    I decided I would start to look for a new apartment today.....they have gone up in prices here at Oakwood....so, am going to try to find something less expensive.    I went to three different places today to get information.    I tried to go to see the "Horrible Bosses"movie at 5 pm ~ but, it was sold out!    So, it's just me and Gracie hanging out in the apt tonight.   I will go pick up Shea tomorrow.    We have to tape an audition tomorrow for a film from Atlanta ~ "Will to Succeed" for the role of Bobbi.   Shea also has an audition on Monday for a new Nickelodeon show ~ "Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures" for the role of Katherine.  It's a guest starring role.  She's excited about it.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 3 evening in LA.....July 2011

Good evening!    I drove Shea down to Casa Mesa this morning to meet Jessica Ozbun.    Jessica is in San Diego with her family this week.  They invited Shea down to spend the weekend with them.   They did invite me also ~ but, can't leave little Gracie.   So, we each drove an hour and met half way.   I will go back on Sunday to pick her up.    Will and Kate arrrived here at LAX this afternoon at 4 pm.   I would sooo love to get a glimpse of them.   They are of course under such high security and are only going from one event to the next ~ not walking around ~ where you might be able to see them.   The news here is keeping it on the tv with where all their events are.    I am planning on going to look for a new apartment tomorrow ~ and might try to go to where one of the events Will and Kate are going to see if I can see them?   I'll keep you posted.....til tomorrow!

Day 3 in LA....July 2011

Morning everyone!     Ok.....sorry bout not getting a posting on the blog yesterday!   I promise I will do better!      Shea got up yesterday morning and got ready to do the 2 auditions we needed to tape and send to Atlanta.    We got both of those done and sent.   Jamie called around 10:30 am to say Shea had an audition in Santa Monica before noon.    So hopped in the car to go to that one.    It was for a commercial for Time Warner.     We had lunch at a cute cafe there in Santa M.    The car was really dirty ~ so we found a place and got the car washed.    We needed supplies for the apt. so we made a trip to Target.   Shea decided she didn't want to go back to the apt. and then have to go out in 5pm traffic for the 6 0'clock audition.   So, after Target....we went to a coffee shop and sat there for about an hour.   We still had an hour and a half before her audition.   But, we drove to where it was and sat.   I don't know WHY we did this!!   ha!   It did actually end up being fun though.....cuz we were parked right at the door where all the girls went in for their audition....so, it was fun to see all the girls going in.    This was the first aud. Shea has gone to for print work.   It for Bonne Bell ~ Lip Smackers.    She had fun!    Then we stopped and bought groceries.
Came back to apt. and FINALLY took poor little Gracie out!   And I was exhausted!!   Showered and went to bed!     I will write again tonight!  

Day 1 in LA.....July 2011

Hello all!     We had a nice flight out this morning to LA.   Had our shuttle waiting for us to drive us to Oakwood Apts.    We are in a new area here at the complex this time.   Our address is 3608 Barham Blvd. Apt. U225  Los Angeles, CA  90068.    Shea received three auditions today.   Two from Atlanta ~ of course, ha!   Day we leave she gets two!    She downloaded the breakdowns and sides for the three different projects.   We will tape the two for Atlanta tomorrow and send them.    The third audition is for a commercial tom at 6 pm.   We unloaded everything out of Shea's car....and alleluia ~ car started right up!!!
We went to Paty's to grab some dinner.   I'm still unpacking.....and it's midnight (east coast time) and I'm beat!    Thinking I am going to hit the shower and then hit the hay!    Til tomorrow.....

Back to LA.....July 6th 2011......

Hello bloggers.....had a wonderful time being home in Peachtree City!!    Shea and I are flying out early tomorrow morning for LA.    The shuttle will pick us up when we arrive there around noon and take us to Oakwood Apts.    Shea's car has been parked there while we were gone ~ with all our goods!   :)    It is "episodic season" now in Hollywood ~ which is when all the scheduled television shows need guest stars for some of their episodes.    Jamie(manager) says it is really getting busy and wants Shea there.    Shea is excited and ready!!     Oakwood has really gone up in their prices unfortunately.    So, we will go there for now....but, will be looking for a more inexpensive place to rent.   Know tomorrow will be a busy day...but, I will try to send out a note to let you know how our first day went.....Til tomorrow.....
