Day 15 in LA.....August 2012

hello....not much to report....I did laundry (mine ~ Shea is doing her own now) ~ Shea had an audition this afternoon in LA for a lead role in a film...she felt good about it. Jamie sent me a list of photographers ~ that I am to go online and check out ~ and decide which one we want to take Shea's new headshot photos. Hard to believe it's already been 2 years since we had those done last. Til tomorrow.....

Day 14 in LA.....August 2012

Hello.....I went out and ran errands today.....Shea stayed at the apartment brainstorming ideas for filming for Dan Levy. Shea, Harrison and I drove to Santa Monica this evening....walked out on the boardwalk...I had the camera and filmed the two of them as they walked around asking people questions and being silly. We got some great footage. Shea has an audition tomorrow afternoon for a lead role in a film. Til tomorrow.....

Day 13 in LA.....August 2012

Hi! Went to St. Luke's Episcopal church this morning.....the building is very old...but, the service was contemporary....the music was wonderful...I really enjoyed the priest's message....a beautiful spirit-filled church. I will definitely be attending church there as long as I am here. After that, I went to the Farmer's Market I told you about last week....I purchased some great organic produce. Came back to the apartment to put it all away and get Gracie out....took Shea and Harrison to brunch....then went to Old Pasadena to do some shopping....just made dinner for Shea and Harrison and myself....now we are going to watch a movie. Hope Jamie calls with LOTS of auditions this coming week! Til tomorrow.....

Day 12 in LA.....August 2012

Hello.....Shea's jewelry (necklaces, earrings and bracelets) were all in one giant knot ~ I'm not kidding...so, I got my tweezers and got everything separated...and then hung them all up on hooks I put on the wall.....Gracie and I went on a long walk again today thru the park. Shea and Harrison went down to Hollywood Blvd. this evening to just brainstorm and think of ideas for interviewing people. I'm going to church in the morning....St. Luke's Episcopal...it's really close....then I will go to the farmer's market afterwards. Til tomorrow.....

Day 11 in LA....August 2012

Hello and Happy Friday! We didn't have anything on our schedule for today. Gracie and I went for a long walk. We have a park just down the road....we walk there every day. Today we walked thru the park and then thru neighborhoods. I went to the Americana shopping area this afternoon. Shea was having a few friends over and wanted Mom to "disappear!" ha! I enjoyed walking around in the beautiful weather. Shea is spending the night with Sloane at Oakwood tonight. It's just Gracie and me hanging out together this evening. Til tomorrow.....

Day 10 in LA.....August 2012

Hello bloggers! Very exciting day for Shea. I went into the meeting with Dan Levy at New Wave Entertainment studios....and let me correct myself....he is NOT Eugene Levy's son....Eugene Levy DOES have a son named Dan Levy that is in the entertainment business...but, this is a different Dan Levy....he is also a comedian....writer on shows such as Whitney, etc....and has several shows on MTV....after seeing Shea's reel of work and viewing the UTube videos he asked her to send him....he really wants to work with Shea. He ultimately wants to go to Disney with material Shea has taped and sell the idea of a talk show interviewing the "younger" stars. He told Shea he wants her to take a camera down to Hollywood Blvd. and just interview people ~ be funny! Shea is thrilled...this is just what she loves to do! I will keep 'ya posted on that project. Shea felt great about her audition this afternoon....she knows the casting director she read for....this is for a guest starring role on a new show ~ "Dog With a Blog." The weather here has been beautiful....we have not had the air conditioning on for four days....love it! Til tomorrow.....

Day 9 in LA.....August 2012

Hi....Jamie called this am ~ to talk about the meeting tomorrow with Dan Levy. Basically they just want to meet Shea...and get to know her. The meeting will be with the producers, writers and director of the project they are interested in having Shea star in. They read the article about Shea in Entertainment Weekly ~ saw her reel ~ so, they have seen some of her work. This project is an improv/sketch comedy show ~ which Shea LOVES! Jamie said they want to make sure Shea gets the right series ~ if indeed she is to have one. It would be a four year contract. Dan Levy is the son of Eugene Levy, who starred in all 8 "American Pie" films. Very exciting!! I had lunch with Angela today in Burbank ~ she is a doll! Shea audited an acting class this afternoon...she said she will NOT be going back to that class...this instructor told them they didn't have to learn their lines....they should just "feel them!" ha! She couldn't get out of there fast enough! Shea also has an audition tomorrow afternoon for a guest role on a new show ~ "Dog With A Blog." Til tomorrow.....
