Day 44 in LA.....February 2012

Hello.....well, the day started out a little rough....no hot water in our building...so NO shower.
I called and they sent someone over to fix....alas....and a nice hot shower! :) Shea had to double up on her schoolwork today ~ because she couldn't do any yesterday. I ran errands. Jamie called to tell us that Shea did BOOK the MSN Commercial! PTL! She has wardrobe tomorrow afternoon in Santa Monica. We aren't sure of the shoot times for Friday yet. Shea is excited! Sharon has invited us over tomorrow night for dinner ~ and to watch our Dr. Phil episode. Til tomorrow.....

Day 43 in LA.....February 2012

Howdy! Shea went to her 1st audition this morning for the guest role on the show "Awkward." Then from there we went to her Callback for the MSN commercial. We drove to Santa Monica for her 2nd audition ~ this one for a lead role in a new pilot. She felt great about all of them! We did NOT want to get on the 405 at 4 pm ~ T E R R I B L E, CRAZY traffic! Soooo, we went to the Promenade Shopping Area in Santa Monica. We both needed some make-up items ~ so we hit Sephora!
Then grabbed some dinner....and headed home. Jamie just called and Shea is "On Avail" for the MSN Commercial. Yahoo! Shea will be doubling up on her schoolwork tomorrow since she couldn't do any today. Til tomorrow.....

Day 42 in LA.....February 2012

Hi! Ok ~ first of all I told you the episode we attended of Dr. Phil ~ is on this Thursday ~ Feb. 1st....all of that is correct ~ except Ha! ~ It's March 1st! The show is about Toni Braxton and her mother and sisters and getting along. Shea has a busy day for tomorrow....an audition for a guest starring role on a show....and CALLBACK for the MSN Commercial! Then another audition later in the day for a lead role in a new pilot. She is psyched! Shea's friend Sloane is appearing as a guest star on Body of Proof Tuesday night at 10 pm. Til tomorrow.....

Day 41 in LA.....February 2012

Beautiful day here in LA.....Gracie got a bath....invited Sharon and Harrison and Hanna over to watch the Oscars with us. We each made some appetizers....and sat and watched the red carpet and the awards show. I found out that the episode I went to see Dr. Phil will be aired this Thursday February 1st. Sharon and I sat right up front. Til tomorrow.....

Day 39 and 40 in LA.....February 2012

Hello....busy with Chris here...so writing yesterday's and today's blog....Friday ~ Chris and I drove down to Marina Del Ray while Shea did her schoolwork. He was in heaven being on the water and seeing ALL the boats! Then we drove to Venice Beach...and walked the boardwalk and saw all the "sights!" Shea got an audition that afternoon for a commercial....so, we drove back to LA...picked up Shea and drove to the audition. Saturday ~ I drove Chris to the Bob Hope airport this morning....always hate to see him leave....but, we had a wonderful few days together! My elderly friend, Margot who lives just down the hall from us in our building ~ stopped by Thursday night saying she needed more groceries. So, I stopped by her apartment and got her grocery list today and went and did the shopping for us both. Karen Valby, a writer for Entertainment Weekly, is doing a story on aspiring actors here at Oakwood and asked Shea if she could interview her for an article. So, Shea and Harrison both met with her for two hours today. Karen is not even sure the article will go to print? If it does, they will be back out to take photos of them. I will let you all know ~ if and when it comes out. Shea and Harrison just left all dressed up to attend a Pre-Oscars party/Red Carpet event. Harrison's mom is working the event and is getting them access. So amazing! So, it's Gracie and me hanging out together this Saturday evening. Shea and I have given up meat for Lent....so, not sure what dinner might be? Oscars tomorrow.....

Day 38 in LA.....February 2012

Howdy! Great news today is I picked Chris up at the airport around 1:30 this afternoon. Poor guy is not feeling well....bad cold....so we are just hanging out at the apartment relaxing...but, still wonderful having him here! Shea got an audition today for next week for a guest role on a show. I think Chris and I are going to drive down to Marina Del Ray for the day tomorrow...while Shea does her schoolwork....til tomorrow.....

Day 37 in LA.....February 2012

Hi! I went and sat by the pool to read my book today....while Shea was doing school...and the laundry was going. And Sophie Grace and Rosie ~ the two absolutely adorable little British girls that are on Ellen all the time ~ were playing and swimming in the pool. I have to say they were just as animated without any camera filming them. Shea came down and had her picture taken with them. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting there watching and listening to them. Just precious! Shea had an audition for "Penoza" ~ a pilot ~ for the role of Natalie this evening in Santa Monica. She felt great about it. But, oh my....the t r a f f i c was TERRIBLE on way home! Ugh! Took forever! But, we are back now enjoying all the super Wednesday night shows! And BESTEST of all ~ Chris will be here tomorrow around 1 pm ~ Yahoo! Til tomorrow.....
