Day 105 in LA.....April 2012

Howdy....ok last day in April...Shea had her chemistry read this afternoon for the recurring role ~ Summer ~ for Young and the Restless. There were six girls there for the read. It was narrowed down to two....Shea being one of them! Very exciting! No word tonight....we should definitely know tomorrow....til then.....

Day 104 in LA.....April 2012

Hello.....ok....Shea and I were absolute S L U G S today! ha! Major "Couch Potatoes" ~ just watched the tube all day...got a few pix from Chris today...he is in the Virgin Islands on his boating/fishing trip with the boys. He is a HAPPY BOY! :) Ok....well....Shea has her chemistry read for the recurring role of Summer on Y & R tomorrow afternoon....til then......

Day 103 in LA.....April 2012

Hi! I needed to run some errands today....get some supplies.....like paper plates, cups, etc. (Dishes in storage) Our towels are all packed ~ so ran to Marshall's and bought a few for us. Then Ralph's for some groceries...food for the next few days....other than that it was an R & R day for Shea and I. Til tomorrow.....

Day 102 in LA.....April 2012

Howdy! Harrison took one look at the huge pile of stuff we were planning on leaving at his place for several months and said Ms. Liz....I don't think this will fit! And he was right! So, called and found a storage place that I could take it all to. Since we have outfitted a kitchen now and bought linens, etc. ~ we have accumulated quite a bit! Shea had her Callback for the "Young and the Restless" this afternoon....she felt great about it...the director gave her some redirection ~ which is always a good sign Shea says! :) Afterwards, we dropped off some clothing at Good Will....then took our carload of "stuff" to the Public Storage Unit. They called late today to say that they wanted Shea in on Monday afternoon for a chemistry read for the recurring role on "The Young and the Restless." Shea is thrilled and I'm so excited for her! But, seriously....all our clothes are in suitcases! ha! Soooo, no we are not leaving tomorrow morning now....I ran up the office to make sure we could stay in our apartment ~ as they knew we were leaving tom. morning. Not exactly sure when we will be leaving now.....it's out of my hands......and in God's! But, you know I will keep you posted.....til tomorrow.....

Day 101 in LA.....April 2012

Hello....I spent most of the day cleaning out cabinets and drawers and packing....Shea went to the Pasadena City College and took the Competency Tests...we pretty much are all packed up (except for hanging clothes)....and don't you know....Callback! Happens EVERY time! The Callback is for the recurring role on "The Young and the Restless." Shea will be reading with the woman that will play her mother on the show. It's wonderful....just that we had planned to be driving out early Saturday morning. I called Jamie....she said go ahead and go to the Callback...she will call casting tomorrow and see if they will give her any idea at all when they will be deciding on this role. Soooo, not exactly sure what our plans are now...? Ha! I heard from the editor of the Entertainment Weekly magazine and she said that it will hit the stands on May 11th ~ this will have the article (8-9 page spread) that Shea was interviewed and photographed for. Til tomorrow.....

Day 100 in LA.....April 2012

Wow ~ 100 days....it's been fun....but, ready to get home! I took Gracie in to the doggie beauty parlor...Shea did her schoolwork....I called Helen at the Dept. of Aging to ask why they hadn't been out yet to see Margot? Had to leave a message....bought a few things for Margot today....Shea and I had the very special treat of each having a massage this afternoon. It was Shea's first one...she was a little nervous...but, as I expected fell IN LOVE with the idea of a weekly massage! ha! Don't think Dad is going to go for that Miss Shea! We met Tori tonight for dinner....this is a friend of Shea's....they want to be roommates next year. I had not met her...but, what a blessing she is....she is almost a full year older than Shea....very grounded and a hard worker....has two jobs now..plus does modeling....attends a Christian Bible Study every Tuesday night and church on Sunday. I KNOW this is no coincidence ~ God is so good! :) Shea is going to the Pasadena City College tomorrow morning to take the competency tests she needs to take before they will let her register for her fall classes. Oh, heard from Alex ~ Atlanta agent ~ and Shea is scheduled to meet with the director and producers for her callback next Wed. ~ May 2nd in Atlanta. Soooo......we are leaving for home a few days earlier than originally planned....so, Mom has been busy packing. We will be driving out this Saturday morning...April 28th. Til tomorrow.....

Day 99 in LA.....April 2012

Hello......enjoyed Bible Study this morning....was tough to say "bye" to all those sweet ladies! That group has been a real blessing to me! I started packing up the kitchen ~ cabinets and drawers today. Finally, the new GIA site is up ~ Go to gia.glimmertv.com ~ to see the special finale to GIA ~ as well as behind the scenes footage and interviews of cast members, photos, etc. Shea got an audition from Atlanta today ~ for a guest starring role on the show "Homeland." We taped it and sent it tonight. Til tomorrow.....
