Day 108 in Van Buren, Arkansas.....May 2012

On the road again.......we left New Mexico this morning around 8:30....had a good day of travel...we stopped tonight at 8:30 pm in Van Buren, Arkansas for the night. Feels good to be out of that car! Gracie has been such a trooper this trip....she just naps in the car....and knows when we stop ~ she will get some water ~ and get to do her business ~ poor thing tho....when we walk back to the car....she digs her paws in the dirt....like "NO please ~ NOT the car AGAIN?!" ha! So, it's hit the shower and then the hay....and get up tomorrow for our drive HOME! ~ Yahoo! We have about a 10 hour drive to get home....we praise God for these safe travels....and for the incredible journey and experience Shea and I have been blessed with over these past 20 months! And I know this journey is only beginning for Shea...I will keep you posted about any big news with Shea on this blog....she is going to take a break for a bit now though...she will be doing some auditioning in Atlanta.......and will be returning to LA the end of July. So instead of "Til tomorrow"....I will say "Til I write again....."

Day 107 in Albuquerque, New Mexico...May 2012

Howdy....all bloggers! Shea and I said all our "good-byes" last night at Oakwood. We took all our food over to Margot....I did speak with Helen from the Dept. of Aging....and she said she would call the case worker again ~ to try to get her out to Margot soon! Shea and I hit the trail around 7 am today. We stopped near Flagstaff, Arizona ~ and drove 100 miles out of our way ~ so we could go to the Grand Canyon ~ neither one of us had been there before! It truly is amazing! Shea did most of the driving today....she did a super job! We are now in our hotel for the night in Albuquerque! We drove over 900 miles today! Nite! Til tomorrow.....

Day 106 in LA.....May 2012

Hello.....and Happy May! Wow....rough day....waiting by the phone! Jamie called and said that Shea did not get the role....Shea was their pick ~ hands down....they loved her....but, this character Summer was on the show as a little girl...and this is her grown up now....and the other girl looks more like Summer did as a little girl. But, they said they want Shea to come in for other things....it's a bummer.....Shea took it so well (I want to cry!) ~ I'm really proud of her! I wanted to let you all know as soon as we knew.....so our plan now is to start our drive home tomorrow morning....it should take us four days....Oh boy...."Happy Trails".....ha!

Day 105 in LA.....April 2012

Howdy....ok last day in April...Shea had her chemistry read this afternoon for the recurring role ~ Summer ~ for Young and the Restless. There were six girls there for the read. It was narrowed down to two....Shea being one of them! Very exciting! No word tonight....we should definitely know tomorrow....til then.....

Day 104 in LA.....April 2012

Hello.....ok....Shea and I were absolute S L U G S today! ha! Major "Couch Potatoes" ~ just watched the tube all day...got a few pix from Chris today...he is in the Virgin Islands on his boating/fishing trip with the boys. He is a HAPPY BOY! :) Ok....well....Shea has her chemistry read for the recurring role of Summer on Y & R tomorrow afternoon....til then......

Day 103 in LA.....April 2012

Hi! I needed to run some errands today....get some supplies.....like paper plates, cups, etc. (Dishes in storage) Our towels are all packed ~ so ran to Marshall's and bought a few for us. Then Ralph's for some groceries...food for the next few days....other than that it was an R & R day for Shea and I. Til tomorrow.....

Day 102 in LA.....April 2012

Howdy! Harrison took one look at the huge pile of stuff we were planning on leaving at his place for several months and said Ms. Liz....I don't think this will fit! And he was right! So, called and found a storage place that I could take it all to. Since we have outfitted a kitchen now and bought linens, etc. ~ we have accumulated quite a bit! Shea had her Callback for the "Young and the Restless" this afternoon....she felt great about it...the director gave her some redirection ~ which is always a good sign Shea says! :) Afterwards, we dropped off some clothing at Good Will....then took our carload of "stuff" to the Public Storage Unit. They called late today to say that they wanted Shea in on Monday afternoon for a chemistry read for the recurring role on "The Young and the Restless." Shea is thrilled and I'm so excited for her! But, seriously....all our clothes are in suitcases! ha! Soooo, no we are not leaving tomorrow morning now....I ran up the office to make sure we could stay in our apartment ~ as they knew we were leaving tom. morning. Not exactly sure when we will be leaving now.....it's out of my hands......and in God's! But, you know I will keep you posted.....til tomorrow.....
