Hello....a beautiful day here today....Shea did her schoolwork....I drove over to Griffith Park....then went on a long walk.    Shea is at her acting class right now.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 35.....in LA.....2011

Hello on Hollywood's Biggest Day ~ "Oscar Day!"   :)     We were going to go down and try to see the stars arrive....but, we were told here at Oakwood that we would just be stuck in traffic....due to roads being closed down.    And apparently people camp out up to a week before the awards show to get a "good spot!"  ha!   So, we stayed here.    Oakwood had a little "Oscar Party".....so, I went up and did meet three other moms with daughters here auditioning also.   We watched the Oscars together.   It was nice.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 34.....in LA.....2011

We sure have had some weird weather out here in LA....."It never rains!".....H E L L O.....rain, rain, every day!    Today we had hail!    I called the photographer and asked to reschedule Shea's appt. for the photo shoot.   We didn't want to miss going and trying to see the stars tomorrow....arriving for the Oscars!   :)  Shea and I went to Glendale Mall this afternoon.    Then to Cheesecake Factory for din-din!   I'm stuffed!

Hello and Happy Weekend!    Nothing to report at all.......Shea is hanging with her friends tonight....Liz went to a movie all A L O N E!!!!     :(    "HALL PASS" with Owen Wilson.    Very funny and cute!!    They did call about the photo shoot....it's Sunday at 5 pm.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 31.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....well, it was clean the apartment day for Liz.....that took A L L of 45 minutes!   ha!    Shea did her schoolwork.  I finished my 3rd book this morning.  We did hear from Jamie today....she said they are pitching Shea for lots of things...and that she should be busy soon!    Jamie said that some of the projects pick the parents first....then they go to the kid stuff....and so they are waiting on that on a few projects.   It was sunny ~ but chilly today.   And looks like the temps are dropping over the next few days....with the possibility of snow flurries here Friday night?!!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....well, hate to keep saying the SAME thing....B U T, it is soooo slow now!   :(       Shea is keeping busy with schoolwork and acting classes.    Me, laundry, buying groceries and reading my books!   :)

Hello.....Shea went to the Arc Music Festival last night.....and after the show.....she was approached and awarded a photoshoot.    They are supposed to get in touch with us this week.    Other than that....just a regular day....schoolwork, laundry, a long walk and Shea's Acting Class tonight.  Til tomorrow.....

Hello....well, the sun was shining here today....no more rain!   :)      Not much to report.    Shea is with friends at a talent presentation tonight.....there are producers, agents and casting directors there.  Shea and her friends will be able to go around and meet all of them.   I do HOPE things pick up this week.....and I will have LOTS to share with you in the near future!   :)     Til tomorrow.....

Day 27.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....Well, today was a "Mom and Shea Day!"   We left here around noon....went to a mall nearby and did some shopping.   After that we went to see the movie "Black Swan."    Glad I saw it...but, it is a dark movie....totally understand how Natalie Portman is getting all the awards though for her acting...absolutely incredible!   We just went to a nearby place called the "Canteen" for dinner....very yummy!    It's raining again here today.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 26.....in LA.....2011

Hello and Happy Friday!  :)    It is indeed raining here....and a bit cool too!    I know a lot of you know about this....but, some of you don't......Shea has two commercials running right now on national television.
One is on Style Network.   It's in a laundromat.    The other is Aspen Dental.   Shea is the daughter and is playing basketball with her "father."   Aspen Dental is only in 30 states....and is being shown in those states.   Georgia is not one of those states unfortunately....so, not being seen there.   She also did a commercial for Chase Bank...but, it is not yet being seen.   They are using it for the director's reel right now.   Rand Gamble (an assistant director that Shea met while on the set for the two commercials ~ Aspen and Chase) called today and asked if he could submit Shea for a job.   Shea would be a host for a video website.    He said it is low budget....but, good experience for Shea.   I, of course said yes!   It has been another slow week.   Sure hope things pick up next week!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 25.....in LA.....2011

Howdy!    Ok....I was back at the car shop today.    The air conditioner was not working in the car...and we wanted to get it in ~ while it's still under warranty.    And they fixed it....and NO charge ~ love that!!
Shea is out with friends tonight.     Gracie and I are hanging home!   Beautiful day here today....but, the rain is coming.  :(     Til tomorrow.....

Day 24.....in LA.....2011

Hello....Shea had fun at the audition.   They did come out as we were leaving and ask how tall Shea is?  
You just never know!  :)    I brought Shea back to Oakwood so she could finish her schoolwork...and I went to get some groceries.    Checked my mailbox today...and there was a SURPRISE!   Shirley Daniels you are sooo thoughtful!   Thank you!  xxox  Excited to watch my favorite Wed. night shows!!   Til tomorrow.....

Day 23.....in LA.....2011

Hello....writing this late....our computer was down last night ~ so, couldn't write the blog.    Shea went to the salon yesterday to get her highlights and trim.   We went to dinner with Mazy (Shea's friend) and her mom Nancy last night.   It was fun.   And Nancy is a "normal Mom"....not one of those "Mafia Moms"!!
ha!    Then Shea had another class at the clubhouse ~ with a voiceover teacher.   We found out that Shea has an audition today at 2:20 pm for a guest role on a Nickelodeon show ~ Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures.   It's raining here today.   I'll let you know how the audition goes later today.....

Day 22.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....and Happy Valentine's Day!     Chris took Shea and I to breakfast at Paty's this morning.   Took Shea back to apt. to do her schoolwork.   I drove Chris to the airport.  :(    Sure hated for him to leave ~ but, am very thankful we had a wonderful long weekend together!    I got the application completed and got the cashier's check all sent off today for Shea to retake the CA Test in March.    Shea just left for her acting class with Patrick she has each Monday.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 21.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....We went up to the clubhouse this morning....to attend the "Meet and Greet" with industry professionals....most of them were people looking to manage a talent....or agents...which Shea already has....but, there were a few casting directors there.    I pulled the same spot in my left back shoulder....so have been taking meds....doing the heat....and cold packs.....trying to help with the discomfort....ughho!  We decided to not go to where the Grammy's were today....to hopefully see some of the stars.    We went to a movie ~" Just Go With It."    Now back at apartment....watching the Grammy's.....dinner in the oven.  Chris has to leave tomorrow.....  :(    Hope you had a great day!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 20.....in LA.....2011

Hello.    So nice having Chris here!   :)     We walked to Paty's this morning.....had brunch....then walked back.    Beautiful day today!!    Then we sat by the pool for a few hours.   Shea has been hanging with her friends here all day.   Going to Paty's, Menchies and watching movies here in the theatre room.  Chris and I going to get a bite to eat now.   We are going to try to find a good "spot" tomorrow near Staples Center ~ so we can see all the stars arrive for the Grammy's.   Til tomorow.....

Hello....and Happy Friday!    Well, there's only one more hour in this Friday....but, here's the report....
Picked Chris up at the Burbank Airport at noon....we came back to the apt....had lunch....then went to the Disney taping of "Ant Farm".     It started at 5 pm....and we left at 9 pm.     A bit long...but, really fun to see the process of them filming a show.    We just grabbed a pizza at Cia Critina's  ~ Yum!   Nite!   Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....well, another s l o w day.....really nothing much to report today.    Shea does have another workshop up at the clubhouse tonight at 7pm with Phil DeChamplain.    I did have a celebrity siting today at the nail shop....Cheryl Burke (from Dancing with the Stars).  :)    Chris got an earlier flight in tomorrow ~ yahoo ~ he arrives at noon ~ at the Burbank Airport.   Then the three of us are going to the taping of the new Disney show ~ "Ant Farm" at 5 pm.  Til tomorrow.....

Hello.    Had a good day.   Shea met with Patrick at noon for some coaching for her audition today.   We just got back from the audition ~ this is for the role of Tess in "Home Game."    She felt great about it....and would LOVE this role....but, you just never know?!  :)    I dropped Shea off at the clubhouse for the two workshops up there tonight ~ an hour of acting and an hour of voiceover training.   Think I'm going to go get some groceries.   Countdown.....T W O days til Chris is HERE!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 16.....in LA.....2011

Hello.   Shea and I made some visits today ~ to see Matt and Katie at Greene and Associates (TV and Film Agent) ~ and then Felix at JLA (Print and Commercial Agent).   It was great to see them!    We just went in to say "hi" and give them new headshots of Shea and catch up!    Felix asked that we send him a picture of Shea and I ~ as he gets requests for "mom and daughter" for some of his projects.     There is an acting session tonight at the clubhouse that Shea is attending.   She has her private coaching with Patrick tomorrow at noon.   Then has the audition for the new CBS pilot ~ "Home Game" at 5:30 pm.   She is auditioning for the part of Tess ~ the oldest of 3 sisters in a family.    There are two different instructors here tomorrow night to train the kids.   Johnny V ~ an acting coach and Tony Gonzalez ~ a voiceover coach.   Three days til Chris arrives!   Til tomorrow.....

Howdy!    Pretty quiet day today.    Shea doing school....Mom doing laundry (just living the dream!)  ha!
Little Miss Gracie got a bubble bath.   :)    Shea has her acting class tonight ~ and the private with Patrick an hour before.   We are going to see Matt and Katie at Greene and Associates tomorrow.    This is her agent for TV and Film.   Four days til Chris is here ~ yahoo!   Til tomorrow.....

Hello.   Well the Packers are ahead....yahoo!   :)   (21 to 17) right now.   Shea had her three hour workshop with Krisha Bullock this afternoon.    She felt like she learned a few important things as far as auditioning and dealing with the casting directors.    We came back here afterwards and went up to the clubhouse for the Super Bowl party.    Shea has her acting class with Patrick tomorrow night.   And is having a one hour private session with him before class for her big Wed. audition for a new CBS pilot ~ "Home Game" ~ produced by Mark Walberg.    Til tomorrow.....

Hello!    Shea and I and two of her friends went to Disneyland today....Chris gave us free passes.   They have a new park also ~ called California Adventures.    We had a great day!     Shea is going to a Master's Forum tomorrow afternoon for three hours.   She will be in a class with a casting director (Krisha Bullock) who will be working with the actors - preparing them for all their auditions.   Then guess it will be back here to watch the Super Bowl ~ Go Packers!!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello...and Happy Weekend!    Got exciting news from Topher this am....he got a job as asst. manager of the new Fresh Market opening up soon in Peachtree City.    Congrats Toph!    Shea did her schoolwork today....I went on a long walk...and just finished up some laundry.   Shea is going out with friends tonight ~ so, it's just me and Gracie ~ on a Friday nite....I'm just living the dream!   ha!    Super news though...one week from today and Chris will be here with us!    Yahoo!   :)  Til tomorrow.....

Day 11.....LA.....2011

Howdy!    Shea had her two voiceover auditions this morning with Ferenc.     He said she did a great job and wanted her to read for another one ~ for Disney.    She did and he said awesome!    While we had lunch at a cafe on Melrose Avenue....they were filming a new Discovery show....we were in the shot (in the background)...so, we had to sign waivers.   Jamie called Shea to say she had a "callback" (she never even had to audition for it) for a Walmart commercial today at 4:15 pm.   She will be driving.   That's all I know.   Never know if she will get it or not?    They shoot the ad this Saturday ~ Feb. 6th.    We have our play tonight at 7:30 at Falcon Theatre.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 10...in LA....2011

Hello!   Another beautiful day here in LA!    It's really slow here right now....but, Jamie says it will be very busy soon!   Shea does have two voiceover auditions tomorrow at 10 am for two different network cartoons.   We bought tickets to see a play here in our area.   It's "The Catholic Girl's Guide to Losing your Virginity."   Supposed to be very funny!    We saw Kourtney Kardashian yesterday near Melrose Avenue. And we did receive feedback on Shea's callback for "Rock Barnes."   They really liked her, said she was physically perfect for the role, but, they went a different way.    Ok....til tomorrow.....

Day 9...in LA....2011

Hello...we had a beautiful and sunny Tuesday here.   We went to Shea's noon audition for her voiceover pilot cartoon....and waited and waited....and then finally Ferenc came out to tell us that Jamie had not confirmed the appt....and he could not see us today.  :(    Jamie apologized and felt really badly about it.
But, those things happen.   Shea found out that she has another voiceover audition for a Nickelodeon cartoon on Thursday at noon.   So, Ferenc said Shea can just plan on doing both of the auditions then.  Til tomorrow.....
