Hello.....while Shea did her schoolwork today....I went and got Shea's car all cleaned inside and out.   Shea went to that free improv class this afternoon.    I just packed a few things to take to Las Vegas.   We plan to leave for LV around 10 am or so tomorrow morning.   Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....well, it was a laundry....go for a walk.....run to CVS....and get some groceries kind of day!    Exciting stuff!   :)     Shea is at her acting class right now.    She is attending a free Improv Class tomorrow afternoon.    No word from Jamie.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 63.....in LA.....2011

Hello....well, it was wonderful having Chris here this weekend!    Rosie had some guests here today at Oakwood.   We went up to meet them.   It was Alison Stoner and Debbie Ryan ~ from Suite Life on Deck and Camp Rock ~ Disney.    Shea got her picture with them.    They talked to all of us....and answered any questions we had.    Chris flew out of Burbank this afternoon instead of LAX which was nice.    It's super close!   He is on his way to Las Vegas now for meetings all week.   Shea and I are going to drive over on Wednesday and stay with him in LV thru Friday.   One of Shea's friends ~ Isaac ~ is going to take care of Gracie for us while we are gone.   It's only a four hour drive to Las Vegas from here.   Obviously, we won't go if Shea has any auditions.    So we will play it by ear.   A lot of you are probably wondering if we have received any feedback from all the auditions and callbacks Shea had the week before.   The answer is no.   Yes, it is frustrating.   Just the way it is.   Jamie said she is working on a few things.   I'll keep you posted.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 62.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....I forgot to tell you that when we went to Paty's yesterday for lunch ~ when Chris got here ~ that we sat next to two of the stars on "Pretty Little Liars."  Keegan Allen plays Toby Cavanaugh.    Tyler Blackburn plays Caleb.     She could hardly breathe!    ha!      She had her picture taken with them.    Today  we went to City Walk ~ at Universal.   There are all kinds of restaurants, shops, theatre, etc.   We saw "Harper" from Wizards of Waverly Place at the yogurt shop.   Shea had her picture taken with her too!     We went to Starbuck's after we went bowling....and saw the kid that played "Chris" on the show ~ "Everybody Hates Chris."    Shea got her pic with him also!  :)    We went to see the movie ~ "Paul" this afternoon.   We are back at apt. now.    Going to Cristina's tonight for dinner ~ and comedy night.   Chris' time here is going by all too quickly......til tomorrow.

Hello.....nothing to really report today.....Shea did her schoolwork.....I did laundry.....went for a walk.   You know ALL the exciting stuff we do here in Tinseltown!    ha!    Oh, I do have exciting news....only THREE days and Chris will be here!   :)    Til tomorrow.....

Day 57.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....Shea and I got up this morning and dressed for our "Ellen Day!"    We got there around 10 am.
There were already others ahead of us...we had to stay til around 11:30 to get our "number."   Then we could leave for a bit.   We had brunch at Paty's.   Then it was back to Warner Bros. to wait.....and wait....
we got back around 12:45.....they asked if there were any people in the group that wanted to show their talent.   Of course, Shea got in line!  :)    There were about 10 people that performed.  They filmed the performances.  Shea did 3 of her characters and voices.   They asked Shea back up after everyone and had her sign a waiver.   They explained to us when we left the show ~ that they will show the tape to Ellen.   And Ellen could decide to put the tape on a show....on her website....or have her on a show?    Or nothing?    Shea and I were the last two to make it into the audience.   The people behind us had to stay in the Riff Raff Room.    We sat on the very back row.   But, we really did enjoy the show!   Clive Owen, Rainn Wilson and Selena Gomez were the guests.   A very special day!   Til tomorrow.....

Day 56.....in LA.....2011

Hello....well we are "under water" here in LA.....seriously....it has rained NON stop all day!    We have flooding!  :(     Shea got to meet several kid celebs here at Oakwood today.   I got to go grocery shopping!
Oh the fun!   ha!    We are looking forward to tomorrow.    We have "stand-by" tickets for Ellen tomorrow.
They will let all those that have tickets go in first.    Then for any of the no shows....the stand-by ticket holders go in on a first come basis.    So, we plan to get there extra early to get at the front of the line.  :)   If we are not able to get in....they do give you definite tickets for another taping in the future.    So, look for us on Ellen either today (March 21st) or on Tuesday ~ the 22nd.    I'll let you know if we get in or not!

Hello.....Ok....alarm went off at 6:45am.....Shea and I dressed....had coffee....then I drove her to take the CHSPE test.   The exam began at 8 am.    She didn't call for me to go get her til 12:30 pm.    We both took a nap this afternoon.   Other than that....a quiet day.....6 days til Chris arrives!   Til tomorrow.....

Hello....and Happy Friday!    Shea was studying today for the CHSPE exam.    She takes it tomorrow morning.   She took it last fall....and passed part of it....but, has to retake the part she did not.    Hope you are having a fabulous night!    Countdown....7 days til Chris is here!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....Shea had her callback today at noon.    She read for the writer Susannah Grant. She told Shea she did a great job!  They only had four girls come back for the callback.    Shea felt terrific about it!    We came back and she did her schoolwork.    Ok.....one week from tomorrow and Chris will be here ~ Yippee!!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....ok, right before we left for the callback today.....Jamie phoned to say that Shea had another audition at the same place we were going for her callback appt.   :)    So, we went to the callback for the Target commercial....Shea had fun and felt super about it.   Then she went to the audition for the Walmart commercial.   She loved doing that too!    She has the callback tomorrow at noon for the role of Lacey.  Til tomorrow.....

Day 51.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....well, BIG news today!     Shea has T W O callbacks!   :)     The first one is tomorrow afternoon for the Target commercial.    The second one is on Thursday morning for the "Untitled Susannah Grant" CBS pilot.   Shea's role is a guest starring role as Lacey.    Shea is just thrilled!    She will be reading for the writer ~ Susannah Grant and for one of the producers ~ Sarah Timberman.   Susannah Grant has written many things.....one of her most popular was the movie ~ "Erin Brockovich."   Shea had a tennis lesson this afternoon and is going to an acting class here tonight.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 50.....in LA.....2011

Wow ~ Day 50!    Shea had an audition this afternoon for the guest role of Lucy on Disney's "Pair of Kings." show.    As we were walking up to the building on the studio grounds.    Shea turns around quickly and says...."Mom, I can't breathe!   That's Mitchell Masso at the door!"    I'm like "who?"   ha!
So, we took a moment and I had to pretend like I needed to do something....so that Shea could get it together!!    Mitchell M. is the actor who starred as Oliver on Hannah Montana.   He is now the star on "Pair of Kings."   Anyway, we went in.....Shea auditioned....and had a great time!    She is at her acting class right now.    Chris and I just "skyped!"   Sure do miss him!    Only eleven days til he is here!   Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....gorgeous day here today!     Shea had a tennis lesson this afternoon.    I went to Glendale Galleria and walked around and did some shopping.   Rand called Shea today and told her that after the auditions for the website host role.....they watched all the tapes....and all agreed that Shea had done the best job...but, they feel she is too young for this particular gig.     Shea is hanging with her friends here at Oakwood tonight.   Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....Shea had an audition this afternoon for an "Alltel" commercial.    It was in Santa Monica and took us an hour to get there.    She had fun though and felt good about it.    On our way home, Jamie called to tell Shea that she has an audition on Monday for a guest role on Disney's "Pair of Kings" show.    Shea is really excited about that one!   Well, guess what?!    Two weeks from today....Chris will be here ~ Alleluia!    It will be just short a few days of SIX weeks not seeing him!  :(    So will be very excited to see him on the 25th!   Til tomorrow.....

Day 46.....in LA.....2011

Hello.....had a fun day today!     Shea had her first audition at 11:45 this morning.     It was for the guest starring role of CJ on a Nickelodeon show.    We then went to her second one ~ which was for the guest role of Lacey for the CBS pilot.    Shea felt great about both of them!    We went to a cute little place for lunch ~ "Off Vine."    We got home and Jamie called to say that casting had phoned her to ask for footage of Shea playing tennis.   Jamie sent the short little clips I took of Shea playing last weekend.    Jamie said they must of liked her at casting or they wouldn't have called her to ask for that footage!  :)   So, that's cool!    Jamie just phoned again to ask us to take a photo of Shea....with darker makeup on.....looking kind of mean.   It's for another part on another pilot.    It's Karoke Night here at Oakwood tonight....so, I'm going to go up and check it out!   ha!    I felt kind of bad about what I said last night on the blog about Shea's audition for the Target commercial.   I mean in today's modern world with mix-raced couples and adoption.....it is very possible that Shea could be the daughter of two african-american people.    We were just sitting there last night thinking that casting probably wouldn't go that way?   But, you never know!   :)

Day 45.....in LA.....2011

Howdy!    We left here around 3 pm today for her audition for the Target commercial in Santa Monica.   It was interesting....the commercial is to have a daughter, Mom and Dad.    Not being racist at all....but, let's just say that everyone in the room besides Shea had darker skin!  :)     Shea had me cracking up!   As new people would arrive to audition....she would say....I just don't think it would be too believable for me to be there daughter!  ha!    She had fun though!    It took us an hour and a half to get home with all the lovely LA traffic!   Good times!!    We found out while we were at this audition today....that Shea has another audition tomorrow!   For a Nickelodeon guest starring role ~ on the show "Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures."   That audition is at 11:45 am.    Then we will go to the 1 pm audition for the CBS pilot ~ for the role of Lacey.    Shea is really excited about both of these auditions!!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....Shea had a tennis lesson with pro again after she did her schoolwork today.   Casting called Jamie to say that the audition for the CBS pilot was changed to Thursday afternoon now.    Shea has an audition tomorrow afternoon for a Target Commercial.   It was another beautiful day here today.  Til tomorrow.....

Hello....good news....Shea has an audition on Wednesday ~ at 2:30 pm for the role of Lacey.    It's for a new CBS Pilot.    It is still untitled ~ written by Susannah Grant.     Shea's role is of a young girl that is a tennis pro.    Shea's excited!    She's at her acting class tonight!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....Shea sent a few of the clips of her playing tennis to Jamie today.....she needed them for the pilot she is pitching Shea for.    I got some groceries today....and cleaned up the apartment.   Shea and Brian went to City Walk this afternoon for lunch and a movie.   They are having a dinner and Talent Show tonight here in the clubhouse.   I always love seeing all the kids perform!  :)   Til tomorrow.....

Hello....an absolutely gorgeous day here today in LA!  :)     The pro saw Shea at 2 pm for her lesson.   I went also ~ so, I could get some footage of her playing.    Jamie needs it for the pilot audition.    I went and sat by the pool after that and read my book....not too tough a day!    ha!    Shea and I are going to City Walk tonight for dinner and to walk around.    Til tomorrow.....

Well, hello and Happy Friday.    Me, I'm a little sad.....sure wish I was going out with my "main squeeze" tonight!     I know, I signed up for this.....but, it's tough!   Ok....enough of that!    Shea had a good time at her audition this morning.   He told her she did a great job and he was very impressed.    Jamie is pitching Shea for a pilot.   She would be a tennis player.   Shea can play...in fact she was on a team when we lived in Tampa....but, it's been awhile.   So, Shea already has an appt. with the tennis pro here tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 pm to brush up on all her tennis skills!  :)    Shea is going out with friends here tonite to celebrate Mazey's birthday.    It's Liz and Gracie for our Friday night!   I've read all four of my books.   So, I'm seriously thinking about driving to the Barnes and Noble and get another one!    Til tomorrow.....

Hello.....well, Liz had a hair appt. today with Marcie for a color and trim.    She did a great job!   Shea had her audition for the Disney voiceover at 4:30 pm this afternoon.    Shea had fun and felt good about what she did!  :)    We then went to grab some dinner on Santa Monica Blvd.    We are home.   Shea is up at the clubhouse for Thursday night ~ Karoke Night!     Shea has another audition tomorrow morning.   Til tomorrow.....

Hello....well, exciting news!!   :)     Shea has TWO auditions ~ Yahoo!    First one, is tomorrow afternoon...for a new Disney animated show...Shea is auditioning to be the voice of "Wendy."  The second one is Friday morning.   Shea is auditioning to be the host on a new website.    Oh, and get who I saw in the grocery store today?....Ken Paves (he's that hairdresser that became famous doing Jessica Simpson's hair!  ha!)   He was very nice!   Til tomorrow.....

Hello bloggers!  :)    I again drove to Griffith Park ~ and then went on a long walk today.    Shea was busy with her schoolwork.   I have a hair appt. on Thursday for a color and cut.  Miss Gracie got a bubble bath!
I did talk to Jamie today.    She said that casting is being VERY tight this year for pilots.    Only wanting to see a small number of kids.   And kids with experience.   But, she said that they are just starting the process for the kids on pilots.   So, they may not find what they want and need to see more kids?   They are starting to see kids now for episodes on different show and for films.    So, she does hope it will pick up really soon for Shea!   Til tomorrow.....
