Day 15 in LA.....January 2012

Hello.....I went to the Bible Study while Shea did her schoolwork today.    I enjoy my time so much there with these precious women who love the Lord!    We each brought a dish to share and had lunch together after our study.    Shea felt fantastic about her audition this afternoon.    She read for the director, producer and casting directors for the role of Alex in "G.I.A."     They told her she was really funny!   :)     Til tomorrow.....

Day 14 in LA.....January 2012

Happy Monday!    I went on a long walk while Shea did her schoolwork.    She had an audition this afternoon for a Nike commercial.     She had a great time doing different action shots playing basketball, lacrosse and soccer.    Then we were in the loverly 5 o'clock LA traffic.....traveling down the highway at a rapid 10 miles per hour!      Arrrrrr!    Just found out she has another audition tomorrow for the lead role of Alex in a webisode ~ called "G.I.A." ~ "Girls Intelligence Agency".   This project is directed by Mark Rosman.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 13 in LA.....January 2012

Hello.....the weather here continues to be absolutely gorgeous.....so, Shea and I went to the Americana today to enjoy it....it's an outdoor shopping/eating place.....we just walked around and sat on the grass and did some "people watching."    I am watching the SAG awards that are being held here today in LA.   Shea is at her Youth Bible Study group.   She has an audition tomorrow afternoon for a Nike commercial.

Hello.....Shea got up early this morning.....(she is feeling a little better.....still really congested)..... to go take her SAT Exam again.....it was another beautiful day here...so, Gracie and I went on a walk.    Just an R&R day......doing laundry....reading my book.....til tomorrow.....

Day 11 in LA.....January 2012

Hello......Shea isn't feeling well today.....congested, achy, fever..... :(     She had an audition this afternoon for a guest role on Disney's "Shake It Up."    We probably should have cancelled and rescheduled.....but, she wanted to go......poor kid....she knows she didn't do her best....I told her to just forget about it....no big deal.    We are just home tonight.....resting....and giving Shea meds.       She has her SAT exam early tomorrow morning....so, it will be early to bed tonight!     She has an audition on Monday for a Nike commercial ~ as a basketball player!    She's psyched!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 10 in LA.....January 2012

Hello......gorgeous day here today.....78 degrees and beautiful blue skies!     Gracie and I went on our walk again while Shea did schoolwork.    I made beef tips in the crock pot for dinner tonight ~ which was yummy!     Shea has an audition for tomorrow ~ Yahoo!    It's for a guest role on Disney's "Shake It Up."   Audition is at 3:45pm ~ for the role of : Jo.   Til tomorrow.....

Hi.....Gracie and I hit the walking trail again today while Shea did her schoolwork......then went grocery shopping.....and did laundry.      Ready for the phone to start ring, ring, ringing!     Til tomorrow.....

Day 8 in LA.....January 2012

Hi......while Shea did her schoolwork today.....I went to my Bible Study....they've changed it to Tuesdays.
Had an incredible lesson today.    After that made a stop at the bank and grocery store.    I talked to Jamie (Shea's manager) this afternoon.    She said that the adult roles come out first for all the new pilots....the teen roles are starting to trickle in now.    She said it will most definitely pick up.    Shea and I are getting ready now for our night out.   We are going to go out to eat sushi first.....then go to the Pantage Theatre to see "Wicked".    Looking forward to seeing it!    Til tomorrow.....

Day 7 in LA.....January 2012

Hello!    I got up early this morning and got ready for the Dr. Phil taping.   I picked up Sharon at 7:45am and drove to where the show is taped.    It doesn't rain much here....but, don't you know today it was pouring!     We sat right up front and saw two tapings.   The first one was the Braxton family ~ Toni Braxton, grammy singing winner and her four sisters and their mother.   They are on a realty show and discussed all the in's and out's of that.....it was fun!     The second taping was two different families ~ that have a missing child.    It was so sad.   Dr. Phil really does handle all the different situations with such grace and professionalism ~ we really enjoying being there.    I will check online to see when these 2 shows will be airing.   They told me it would be around 3 weeks before it airs.     I got back to the apt. just in time to pick up Shea and get her to her 3 o'clock audition.     It's for a feature film ~ role: Ruth.   She felt great about it.    Oh, I finally saw Shea's commercial (Jumbaco ~ Jack in the Box) on tv last night.  :)    I have Bible Study tomorrow morning.    We are going to see the broadway show "Wicked" tomorrow night with Sharon, Harrison and Hanna.    Excited to see that!   Til tomorrow.....

Day 6 in LA.....January 2012

Hi!    We had a great time at Sharon's last night.....we played a few games with the kids ~ which was a lot of fun!    It was beautiful here today....Gracie and I went on a long walk.    They are sending the audition tape that Shea did in Atlanta for the Tyler Perry film on for the second read tomorrow.    Shea worked on her script (for another film) this afternoon for her audition at 3 pm tomorrow.    Shea is at Youth Group now.   I have 2 VIP tickets to go to two tapings of the Dr. Phil show tomorrow.    I invited Sharon to go with me.   I got the VIP tickets because this is the third time we have tried to go to the Dr. Phil show.    We were all set to go ~ the last two times.....and Shea got an audition....so we had to cancel.    It's kind of cool to have these tickets....as we don't have to wait in line....and we get to sit up front.   I will let you know when the shows we are attending will air.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 5 in LA.....January 2012

Howdy!      Been emailing back and forth with Jamie today....about whether Shea needs to retape the audition for Cindy for the new Tyler Perry film?    Liz (Jamie's assistant) says we do not need to ~ but, an email from Atlanta said differently?    I will let you know how that pans out.     Shea's closet was sooo scary.....so, decided I would completely organize it for her today ~ so that she can actually FIND what she needs when we are scooting to an audition!     Made a grocery run to Ralph's.....and then have been reading my book (Book # 2 of the "Hunger Game" series).   We are getting ready to go over to Sharon's (Harrison's mom) for dinner.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 4 in LA.....January 2012

Hello.....while Shea did her schoolwork.....I took Gracie on a long walk.....thru in some laundry...and had Blake (one of Shea's friends) come and hook up our DVD player.    Shea got a second read for her role as Cindy in the new Tyler Perry movie.    Shea read for it in Atlanta last week....they are going to send the tape of her read to casting here in LA.    So that's exciting for Shea!    Sharon (Harrison's mom) has invited us to dinner tomorrow night.    I am taking a caprese salad, dessert and wine.    Til tomorrow.....

Day 3 in LA.....January 2012

Hello.....while Shea did her schoolwork, I went to Porto's Bakery.    I met some of the girls in the Bible Study to celebrate Sharon's bday.    I had to return some things to Rosie.....then took a thank-you gift to Ron ~ who also helped in watching and starting up our car while we were gone.    Shea has an audition on Monday ~ for an untitled feature film ~ for the role of Ruth.   Til tomorrow.....

Day 2 in LA.....(fourth time!) :)

Well, "We're Back!"    Shea, Gracie and I flew out of Atlanta early yesterday morning.   Had a good flight....Harrison picked us up and took us to Oakwood.    While I did the paperwork for our apartment ~ Shea went and got her car.    Harrison, Blake and Sloane helped us unload the car and bring it to our apt.  Which was such a great help!   We are in L~110.    Our address here is:  3674 Barham Blvd.  LA, CA.  90068.   We were able to get pretty much unpacked last night ~ which was fantastic!    While I unloaded the kitchen ~ Shea and her buds went and got us a few groceries.   We were both beat ~ so it was "lights out" before 10pm!      Shea got back to the computer today and did all her schoolwork.   I ran out and got the car filled up and washed.   Then went and picked up Shea's headshots and stopped by Target to get odds and ends we needed.    I even bought a small crockpot so I can make a few of our fav meals here!     OK, we are all set.....now just waiting on Jamie's call!   Til tomorrow.....
